I tried painting a normal map by hand while using an image of a normal'd ball as a reference. [t]http://i.imgur.com/xVgW5v0.png[/t] I could be wrong, but I feel like this might actually be potentally useful for exercising accurate slopes/shading.
Oh hey! Yeah spring break is coming up, I think I'll do a cosmonaut walking up to his launch vehicle
Awesome, can't wait to keep up with your progress then :)
Nice! Kinda nitpicky, but shadows are more blue-shifted when outside.
WOWoow! Disregard this comment. Evidently my phone's screen displays color slightly different than my monitor.

On a cube [t]http://i.imgur.com/Hx90Vr0.png?1[/t] On a low poly head I had lying around [t]http://i.imgur.com/NL9qmme.png?1[/t] So it works I guess, for the most part. Dunno just how well it works, but it looks like you have a success on your hands.

There's these bunch of characters I made up about a year ago and thought that they're important enough to hang on my idea board, and iv'e always wanted to work more on them so I started drawing one today the bunch: and the hunter:
Thinking of registering for the Art Station challenge, can we register for more than one category? I'd like to do something for both 2d character and 2d environment. Edit: Just read we can. Sweet.
Please tell me he's a Used-Spaceship Salesman.
Right on the money.
Speaking of artstation challenges here's my WIP for 2d environment. Prompt is the beginning of a journey

Tossed this together today for my little RPG Maker game.

The eyes look a bit flat, I think.
The eyes look a bit flat, I think.
it's like you are trying to be delicate even though they are literally drawn in one flat color
eh
Did another one, trying to get into a habit.
Please do more of these, they're great.
So I'm making a draft for my tattoo and I got this Essentially the equivalent of St. George slaying a dragon. Hopefully I can find an artist that can turn this concept into the traditional Japanese woodcut form.
Reminds me of the fight with the boar demon in Mononoke,, very cool idea
It looks really cool, but aren't eastern dragons usually seen in a much more positive light? Samurai George is probably gonna call down some hellish bad luck or something from killing that dragon. :v:
I'm still thinking of other concepts to give to the tattoo artist. The other way I would love to the tattoo is to have "St. George" on one side of my chest/back shoulder and the dragon on the opposite end. That or stick to the concept above so it could fit on one side of my body.
It looks really cool, but aren't eastern dragons usually seen in a much more positive light? Apparently there is a Japanese equivalent of the St. George legend
I just requested to join the Facebook group, this seems like the perfect place for me. I've been "real life" drawing forever with pens, pencils etc., and more recently have been desiring a more professional/adult, electronic/marketable, more PRODUCTIVE maybe than IMAGINATIVE, tablet that I'd be using for work that I would end up actually selling. Concept artwork, storyboards, portraits, illustrations to be published, etc. You will all probadly be seeing a lot of me, so HI! It won't be hard to tell who I am on Facebook.
it snowed a lot today
