[t]http://i.imgur.com/woHYseo.jpg?1[/t] This is my attempt at making a stereogram (its a type of 3d illusion). its my first try, and they are pretty hard to draw when you use 3d shapes because you need to deal with small precise angles (i just eyeballed the angles so its not perfect). to see the illusion, cross your eyes until the 2 large octahedrons in the middle merge into one new octahedron. The illusion is that the shapes towards the bottom seem closer than the ones at the top, its a bit subtle.
what helps me to notice the illusion is subtly moving my head side to side and looking at the parallax effect, as the bottom ones shift a bit while the top ones are almost stationary
wait so is this really an engraving? If not, what did you use? I love this style
it's not an actual engraving, they're digital illustrations that mimic engravings. they're also inspired by actual engravings (the bulette, for example, is inspired by durer's rhinoceros).
I really like engravings, these look amazing! Well done
[t]http://i.imgur.com/6jqNVT1.jpg?1[/t] Idk if I posted this before, but I drew this over a year ago, trying to emulate that engraving feel with an ol' pencil. its based on a public domain image I found online, but it was so long ago I cant remember were to find it again.
reminds me of A trip to the Moon

Stylized world design stuff, been trying to get a solid amount of variation in color schemes based on time of day: [t]http://i.imgur.com/WgCjwrT.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/5lZp4SG.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/NIUaj1M.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/FIUaBb0.png[/t]
this is cool man, looks relaxing. Want to see it in motion though
Thanks! We're working on getting features and a decent sized starter section up to baseline, once we do we'll be doing a trailer and trying for greenlight on Steam. I'll probably post the trailer on here somewhere.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/FIUaBb0.png[/t]
The ambient light level is too high here for the colour / value of the sky. At that sky colour you would be lucky to distinguish the trees from the rocks. https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=dusk

Could someone with a tablet + Photoshop combo kindly tell me whether I'm screwed or just paranoid? When I slowly draw lines in Photoshop, they end up looking jagged or aliased, but they look normal when I draw quickly (presumably due to Smoothing kicking in). Example.

I just end up swooping larger lines or make quick strokes to avoid it. Decent enough practice for gestural stuff, but eh...it's a pain sometimes.

Decent enough practice for gestural stuff, but eh...it's a pain sometimes.
I actually just fixed it (after like 3 days of reinstalling drivers to no avail)! What I basically did was a clean tablet driver reinstall and removing one more file manually. Step by step below: 1. unplug tablet 2. uninstall current tablet drivers 3. navigate to C:\Windows\System32\ - there may still be a leftover settings file here called something like wacom.dat or tablet.dat. Delete it or move it to a different location if you want to have a backup. This step made the difference for me. 4. Reboot 5. Install new drivers. The new drivers don't work at all for me and Wacom's legacy driver section seems to be busted, but you can still find stuff via Google. I've mirrored those that worked for me on my Dropbox for your convenience: Many sites recommend 636-3, I've personally used pro614-3_int for ages and it seemed to work just fine. 6. Reboot 7. Plug in tablet and let Windows recognize it Full disclosure, this worked for me on Win7x64 with latest updates (minus some that cause W10 annoyances) and Photoshop CC. If you aren't sure whether you deleted the right file in step 3, you can test it by changing your tablet settings before the driver uninstall, like adding custom hotkeys for example. After you've reinstalled your drivers, those custom settings should be gone if you deleted the right file.
I am in the early stages of putting together a big project I've been working out for a while. Space Viking comic. I have a large chunk of the story written. It needs a lot of work but I am really looking forward to learning how to do this as I go. This album is rough versions of the cover and first 5 pages of issue 1. http://imgur.com/a/dzWTI the vision is vikings meets star wars meets lovecraft this pastebin is an extremely condensed and hastily written outline of the first series and some of the beginning of series 2 http://pastebin.com/GnAwtLtx please forgive the god awful writing there i am all over the place
