Noone here seems to care about audio, but I'll give it a go once more.
I'm self taught and starting to learn to impro and play my own stuff. Critical comments are appreciated.

What do you do to train and become an overall better player? I've teaching myself as well (only 1.5 years) and I don't have much to show for it. So far all I have been doing is learning to play songs via youtube until I have it memorized and then move to the next song. Sometimes I try to create new things by shifting my hand over a couple keys and splicing muscle memory from previously learned songs. Got any advice?

That looks really nice! I think you could totally push the values even further apart for a clearer read on the text and the characters, here's what it looks in greyscale for reference:

That's just my opinion tho, I have a thing for composition stuff and value patterns.
I made some vaporwave

this is a useful suggestion. thanks for your help!
I actually just fixed it (after like 3 days of reinstalling drivers to no avail)! What I basically did was a clean tablet driver reinstall and removing one more file manually. Step by step below:
1. unplug tablet
2. uninstall current tablet drivers
3. navigate to C:\Windows\System32\ - there may still be a leftover settings file here called something like wacom.dat or tablet.dat. Delete it or move it to a different location if you want to have a backup. This step made the difference for me.
4. Reboot
5. Install new drivers. The new drivers don't work at all for me and Wacom's legacy driver section seems to be busted, but you can still find stuff via Google. I've mirrored those that worked for me on my Dropbox for your convenience: Many sites recommend 636-3, I've personally used pro614-3_int for ages and it seemed to work just fine.
6. Reboot
7. Plug in tablet and let Windows recognize it
Full disclosure, this worked for me on Win7x64 with latest updates (minus some that cause W10 annoyances) and Photoshop CC. If you aren't sure whether you deleted the right file in step 3, you can test it by changing your tablet settings before the driver uninstall, like adding custom hotkeys for example. After you've reinstalled your drivers, those custom settings should be gone if you deleted the right file.
I know this is 50 or so days late.
But - THANK YOU!
This completely fixed the issue. I put it off for ages and just went and did traditional stuff for a while out of frustration.
I barrelled out around 50 pages of quickfire random shit for all of today in celebration of finally being rid of that parkinsons-esque shoddy line bug.
Fun stuff all round, here's a 1 hour thing from imagination I did at the tail-end of tonight.

Acid Rap by Chance The Rapper pixel art cover made in Aseprite
Original Cover: [T]https://images.genius.com/1c72a048c1ced01428cecde7cf8221ba.1000x1000x1.jpg[/T]
The lighting of the shirt and the face are done very horribly, but I am fairly happy with how the skin turned out, since this is pretty much my first piece of pixel art (or art in general in a long time)
I tried to use aseprite several years back but I couldn't figure out the interface. It looks like it's been through a lot of updates though and it actually seems pretty useful. Is it worth using nowadays?

How many colors did you use?
Apparently 41:

Probably way too many, I really don't know what I was doing tbh, I was just going with it...
And as for the software, I've probably used only the very basic features of it, I couldn't tell you much (yet) about the entire thing.

I found it to be pretty intuitive, its got indexed palette editing, layers, animation and onion skinning. Took me a bit to figure out most of the interface, but I've totally converted to using it for pixel art.
It's also free if you compile it from the source code yourself.
Speaking of, I made animations for jumping, transitioning to falling and a falling loop, respectively

This looks really cool and sorta reminds me of this one artist. I cant remember who but he did a lot of Native themed androids and large pan shots like this with wild robots roaming about.

I recently ordered the art print of Gaussfraktarna, and have been meaning to order the tales from the loop book. He's one of my favorite artists, and is so great at worldbuilding.
Would y'all consider doing studies of an artist's work like his would be good practice? I'd love to learn from his style and composition.

I would say it's more beneficial to study from photos and integrate your own designs in it since that's what he does (as it looks like to me) - goes out in the neighbourhood, takes photos, copies them and adds his own stuff in a preset environment with lighting already established.
[editline]17th June 2016[/editline]
But if you want to study directly from his work go ahead, it's just that you won't end up with an original piece straight away, although it would be easier to know what's "off" in your work compared to his.
It's been a while, hi
