I'm downloading the trial right now to check it out but am interested in what you guys think. I can't afford PS so I use Krita, which is alright I guess but I'm open to paying $25 for something that's really good.

There's something odd but good about the way it handles. Also I like the rather simple interface.

I don't know what these are for, but if I had to give any crit I'd suggest varying height and weight.

I drew my guides as a gift for the military prepatory end in 2 weeks also the managers:
How would you do cube reflections? I'm making an ice cube for a video game, and I think I'm doing it wrong? The gif cuts off the last few frames, sorry about that.

My input though is the charcter is very hard to see and I think there should be less opacity on that cube. What's the context, character gets frozen in a platformer during gameplay?
Bleh, I'm tired... Hey... happy sheep!

I'll lower the opacity a bit: [VID]http://a.pomf.se/vzylhg.mp4[/VID]

I started using sai for a simple, subtle gradient effect on what would otherwise be a flat color. I think it looks pretty nice.

The gif cuts off the last few frames, sorry about that.
Try making the highlight a bit more of a light blue instead of a straight white, and diffuse it a bit. Highlights on ice aren't as sharp but more like this: Diffuse and kinda bumpy. And I suppose you could try using some more colors on your cube, and curving out the edges a bit/making some roughed up edges. But that depends on the look you're going for.

When you do reflections you have to think about where the point of view is and where the object or light or w/e that is being reflected is, I feel like the reflection being all of the same thing it wouldn't appear on all sides of the object unless there were 3 different things that were the same in 3 different places to all reflect off the angled surface at the viewer. Think of a satellite dish, the idea of that shape is that everything that hits it would be reflected into the part that sticks out to recieve the signals, but that is a concave shape. What you have is a cube, so in order for the point of view (imagine as a receiver thing on a satellite dish) to see a reflection on all 3 sides of the cube, there would have to be an object or light at a position on each side in order to have each side reflect something that the viewer can see. Although with pixel art there is a lot of artistic liberty, but I still think it may look a bit better if at least 1 side didn't reflect anything. also none of this is taking into account refraction from light passing through the surface since it is ice, fuck if I know how to describe that.
