I think the only thing that made people visit my sketchbook is that the cc was so slow it was always on the front page, but now it'll probably get buried instantly. I might post here instead.
funny how DB3TS hasn't been around for centuries but his horrid work lives on

I think it'd be fair to bump your thread with new content even if you're crossposting between that and this, it'll be guaranteed to draw a lot of new interest each time it surfaces
I don't want things to devolve into megathread-only mentalities while we're in this wonky forum sorting phase so try and make thte most of it for now
I think I'll just post stuff here. GIF thread was basically kept alive by me and occasionally Zakkin.

Shouldn't this thread now just be called "Creative Work"?
Or for traditions sake, "Creative Work that Does and Doesn't Deserve a Thread"?
I don't think you'll find anyone making a thread in GD about their specific artwork as that will be instantly buried. The thread is already used as a dumping ground for artwork that deserves a thread to begin wtih as well.

Hey Mikkelmann could you please link your blog again?
It's been too long since I last checked it out and I adore your work!
So now it's a megathread. Neat, but i always wondered why there are no such things as gigathreads or terathreads or something. How about becoming one of these?
Okay guys, I really liked the grunge but this one fits the concept more.

Is this the right place to ask what kind of Drawing Table should one get?
Like, people have been telling me to get a 100x70 or small and if get it with the light below.

yeah the original was missing something and i think that effect suits the design a lot more than the other one
Joined the FB page. My art advice won't be too useful, but my writing advice (hopefully) will.

what are you going to do with a drawing table. And I get that you're going to draw, but how does a drawing table serve better than any other table, unless you're a high on demand professional.

I don't know about the ergonomics of working on a slope, but I imagine a proper tilting draftsman desk would be a healthier option in the long run given that you're not hunching over as much. To be honest even though I'm a hobbyist I'd kill for a decent tilting desk
for someone who doesn't draw much a drafting table would be a waste of money. Not saying YOU don't draw much, but I don't think nightfury needs one yet. Tho of course not my decision, but my answer to "what drafting table should I get" is not to get one yet and see if you really want to pursue art.
Don't know where to post this, so here is some poetry:
You send your children out to die
The surprise when the flag arrives
You wonder what could've been done
But you send another one
Now that the forums have been reshufflled it feels a little odd posting work here, like now that the subforum has been cut down to a megathread nothing that I could possibly produce would be good enough to not be a waste of space :v: That said, here something I drew recently that I'm pretty proud of.

Looking back at this I was trying to experiment with lighting and it really shows. Constructive criticism super welcome.
@Detlef, thing is that our desk broke time ago and there's not a proper space to sit and practice. Lately the thing that comes closer is the desk of my PC but it's a really small space so it's what I was thinking about. But well i'm not sure now of what you said if it's the right choice. Could get a desk but i don't know.
I got one of these laptop stands for $20 at walmart and it's pretty awesome for keeping notes and drawing on, in a chair, on the couch, in bed, nifty

I remade the graphic design thread for anyone who misses it, I know I do already. Please help bring it back to life! It was my favourite thread and I loved being able to post work their and give and receive critique.
Hey guys, we're doing the election for moderators for the FB group now. There's a poll on the group page. Just over 24 hours left to put your name in and cast votes, so if you're interested please get in quick.
trying not to be so lazy when i draw anymore

if you have the money get one of those desks than can be adjusted to be a normal desk or at an angle like a drafting table. Shouldn't be too expensive

(also I'm working on two different monitors, but I'm not sure which one of them is the most correct color wise. Does the picture seem warm or cool to you?)
Would creative writing also be accepted?
Yeah, a few people have posted creative writing and poems and prose and shit in the last iteration of this thread.
