I like the style. I am noticing something with the one point perspective.

I think the parallel lines in the 3D scene should converge on the vanishing point.

It's off but not as much as you think
I think you're missing that it's built on a slope and that the arrangement of buildings isn't on a city grid
regardless the perspective is alright. It's not good to have every one point scene look like a textbook example of one point. in fact I'd say the street drawing you posted has bigger problems with all the distortion.
I will say though Hikkotch the way you've got the road going out of sight is really messy and weird looking, and also unrelated to perspective that pole that's leaning over in the bg looks like a very tiny snow-capped mountain lol
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll change the door and the pole in the background. I can't unsee the mountain now lol.
here are some alens

The value of the bg clashes/matches the values on the ship
Been working on some character designs lately

(I've decided to go with the one with both arms covered.)

That won't be a problem in-game
That won't be a problem in-game
But if you're going to be moving into any kind of professional engagement with clients or studios with concept art it's essential that you present your work in a way that reads on the page, outside of the context of the game world

I'm not one to give a shit about ratings but I'm genuinely curious why you three stooges think that was worth dumbing?

because the bg of the modelling program isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference if the ship is going to be placed on another backdrop?
it's like going to someone who's painting a portrait and telling them that the person really stands out against the background when they haven't even painted it yet

Caesar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Still gotta do something about those bubbles and give it shadows, that's later though.
because the bg of the modelling program isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference if the ship is going to be placed on another backdrop?
"if" but it's not on a different backdrop, it's on that clashy backdrop, if he's showing it like that here there's no reason to suppose he won't do so in his folio, in which case it's a problem?
it's like going to someone who's painting a portrait and telling them that the person really stands out against the background when they haven't even painted it yet
well this fictional person should paint the background before they hang the painting in the gallery then lol

Ill finish it at some point, but for now I feel too ill to do anything about it.
Have any of you guys taken drugs before working on some stuff? Really interested in what kind of effects it has on not only people who are, for example, good at drawing but also people who have never really tried to draw anything.

at first I thought the top-left one had a big ol' wormlike tube head/body, which would be neat.
I've not really done much landscapes before so figured I'd give it a go, gave up after an hour tho
Is that Dorset?

pretty difficult to make out what's happening. A group of cyberpunk wizards have stolen a giant pen?
what I'm saying is between the packed composition and batshit markmaking it's all a bit hazy

well it's only weed but still
Since the Creationism Corner is gone, I'll ask here since we don't really have an art section anymore.
Is there a site or another forum that one can use to discuss drawing/art and stuff and ask for help/criticism?
I'm learning how to draw but the only places I know that are suitable for beginners are /ic/ on 4chan which is decent but it's 4chan and while some people have been useful, you need to take everything with grain of salt and be skeptical of the quality of the advice. /r/learntodraw has been alright too but I feel some people are holding back in favor of not offending the person asking for critique. Also the subreddit is slow.
I know conceptart.org exists but I went there and it seems like it's for people who are already decent at art, not complete beginners.

ConceptArt is fine for newbies, at least it was last time i visited, you just have to have some self direction, especially starting out. Its a little like having a bunch of makos but with more anime. So if you can handle that its a good spot.
Is that Dorset?
Not 100% where it is but I did type in Dorset beach and that's what came up

Is there a section for like people who just started a month ago? I took a quick look around and I did not find a complete beginner section and the critique board was mostly filled with art of proper artworks but with flaws that need critque on but nonetheless still presentable.
Also that is a weird analogy that I'm not sure I get :v:

Its been quite a while since I used the place, make yourself a sketch thread that is usuappy the best way to go starting out. Post your work as you study some basics and build from there
