It could be a good idea to add some motion to the picture. I mean, now the plane looks so clear and motionless it's almost looks like that someone just threw a molotov at an airplane monument or something.
Adding to that,I think it would be cool to see the smoke coming off the wings and leaving a trail due to the plane moving through it
Composition wise the diagonal of the smoke is sort of cancelled out by the slight diagonal of the plane, so instead of a feeling of movement you get a feeling of stillness. I'd try flipping the background entirely, adding more elements that follow the path the plane is taking and see how that goes
Two fast fun sketches, just messing with design.

Posted a couple places but haven't gotten a lot of C&C, requesting if possible
Bear in mind the moon in the background is a render that I shooped in because lazy

Yeah, and it distracts from anything else because you can see the different rendering very explicitly, especially with the much more smudgey astronaut in the center of the image, right next to it.
Another fast alien sketch.

Nah, here's some process.

I was wondering if anyone had done block printing before?
I've made this small tester block on the laser cutter. I realised after I engraved it, the depth was too shallow so I'm going to set the engrave depth to about 2mm deep.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/OkeO1kp.jpg[/thumb]
My main worry was what paint or ink to use and what sealer to use on the plywood? Are there specialist inks designed for block printing?
Just because if I were use danish oil to seal the ply, it would naturally resist the inks or acrylics as the danish oil is water resistant, leaving the inks all splotchy on the block.

me too
Some more work on the art side of things on the little game, this time animations.
Just some showoff sequences for the characters! (still wip)

You're also gonna want to take a look at your lighting and texture work. The way I see it, there's no reason to have pitch black on the figure if there's plenty of light radiating on it from the planet. In fact it should be in space that should have pitch black, only with the exception of the camera being in the atmosphere. To add more visual interest I'd also suggest painting more ripples and such on the space suit.
still looks traced
I've been tracing some stuff before, it does not deliver that satisfaction when it's done, doesn't feel like your work. I even quit making SFM/GMod posters because of that, alltho it's a different thing.
I do have to say it seems a bit odd for long straight edges to be chicken scratch, and the top of the cab is flat out missing. Drawing cars is rarely an affair of just filling in the final contours like this
[t]http://i.imgur.com/RPW6PE2.png[/t]
the end result is nice but claiming 'trace' isn't unfounded
still not necessarily a bad thing (unless you did it and are just lying about it, then it's bad for that reason), lots of concept artists will save a ton of time by doing a literal hackjob by photoshopping a bunch of stuff together to give themselves a foundation, then painting it up to their own needs. Use of resources and references to this extent is good practice for the right reasons and not something to be ashamed of as an artist.
Did some photostudies:

Attempting to learn to do gesture drawing, no clue what i am doin:

also I am using a tiny tablet so it is pretty difficult to use my arm to create lines, i pretty much have to use my wrist. Its a 5x3ish inch drawing area being translated into motions on a 21.5 inch monitor so yeah..
^ Also that isn't how you use drop box, we can't see those images.
e: I think I am following the contours too much
