Where is that photo that teaches you how to properly paint colors? It has spheres and shit?

[t]http://i.imgur.com/PRHaImz.jpg[/t] Quick derelict thing just to explore vanishing points that are on and off the page, it's very loose but was a lot of fun to learn from.
Studying form and value in class Don't have too much of an idea of what I'm doing, but I thought it looked neat.
that's way better
his perspective is still a disaster hahaha Would have been almost okay if he had followed your redline Also Maya you're still depicting huge spaces using really claustrophobic compositions, I advise studying composition (and maybe trying different subject matter lol, I've rarely seen someone so buried in a comfort zone) You have the perseverance to make something look "complete" as a painting but every aspect of your knowledge is way behind this point. less photoshop and more sketchbook filling would pull your level up even if you don't have the motivation or time to study specific stuff [editline]30th June 2015[/editline] Feels like I haven't been around in forever I'm glad there are still familiar usernames here
doesn't seem like anyone's interested, but i finished the first draft of my play, figured i might as well post it. a lot of the foreign language stuff was either from my beginner level knowledge, or straight from google translate, so i still need to get much of that corrected. I can take really nice picture of food though... if that helps...

I will rephrase what I said earlier... I actually made good composition on the *plate*, not on the photo: (I did cook these) I also found some pics I took in Japan... Thought I might post my radio show I started. It's not read off a script, but improved off an outline. I've directed actors in films before, but have done no acting before, ever. This is m first attempt. PLEASE LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES to properly hear the levels and music. Let me know what you think! https://soundcloud.com/the-earth-collective/tec-episode-1-pilot (Also, I am no sound engineer. So if the levels are off or something is messed up. I don't know. Please let me know so I can fix it! enjoy)
A design of mine from my BFA show. Made of solid steel and ash. The surface is a solid 5/8" plate of steel.
Reworked the lower third to fit more stylistically with the rest. Any critiques (esp for the presentation)?

I think the beard/mouth is a bit muddy and could use some definition, but nice work overall!
I don't know which one I like the most.
They liked the bottom right one. I did have fun with the top right and bottom left ones though... especially because in the bottom left the Apollo astronaut's present is the Soviet LK lunar lander prototype
I like them all. But the bottom right and top Right are my favorites
top left and bottom left for me.
[IMG_THUMB]http://i.imgur.com/2JJpjyG.jpg[/IMG_THUMB] Found this unfinished thing on an old imgur account, I remember getting stuck on the elemental guy's body (whether he's crumbling away or assembling, etc.) and just dropping it a couple years ago. I want to try doing it over again sometime from a better angle. Also, a Guild Wars Asuran explorer I did when waiting for the game, he has a funny arm/shoulder. Something I doodled today - I know it's not quite up to the standards here, but I'm quite pleased with it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nm92O82.jpg[/t]
I finally sat down to write a serious short story for the first time ever on my own free time (i.e. not for any kind of assignment). It's an attempt at a literary forgery combined with adventure themes (think Uncharted or maybe Indiana Jones). I know some parts are a bit cliche and predictable but I'd like some overall feedback.
The Lost Babylonian Wonder It is said that the Hanging Gardens of Babylon began construction sometime around 605 BC, designed and built by the Assyrian king, Nebuchadnezzar II, as a gift for his wife. The city was purported to have been located in central Mesopotamia but in actuality, it was located far south-west of the Euphrates river, in the large expanse of the Arabian desert. The legend of the lost wonder of the world gained much popularity in western civilizations in the 1930s in spite of its often disregard as a myth. Countless explorers and treasure hunters traveled east in search of the garden, but it was not until the year 1939, when most had already given up and returned home that the gardens were finally discovered. A British excavation team led by Oliver Bennett, stumbled upon the Hanging Gardens by accident during a massive sandstorm somewhere far west of Karbala. They found the structures there remarkably intact, but bare any kind of vegetation or water. The construction itself was regardless a wonder. Tall pure white walls and stairways rose up from the cobbled mosaic streets and deep canals surrounded the individual structures, as if each were an island. The group detached into three teams, Bennett himself and a small group headed towards what appeared to be the grand palace. There Bennett discovered a number of intact paper scrolls and stone tablets which had been miraculously well preserved in the dark and cold stone of the palace. Bennett and his team had been in the gardens for merely an hour before members of the three teams reported back that they were seeing strange, demon like creatures. Bennett too claimed to have glimpsed figures running through the dark alleys out of the corner of his eye. Bennett ordered his team to reassemble in the center of the gardens to confer. Upon their meeting some thirty figures appeared in front of the group. The figures were shaped as humans but their bodies were burnt black and their eyes were but balls of fire. When they opened their mouths their tongues glowed like lava. The terrified team broke up and escaped to the garden entrance. Bennett ordered his team to use their remaining explosives to seal the entrance to the gardens, believing that it was cursed and that it was too dangerous for any man to explore. What little Bennett had gathered from the gardens including scrolls and tablets were brought back to Britain to be translated and analyzed. These documents turned out to have been written by none other than King Nebuchadnezzar II himself. Though the legend claims that the king had the gardens built as a gift for his wife, in truth it was revealed that he had built the wonder as a message of power to the surrounding kingdoms, thus explaining its distance from the actual city of Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar II knew that his engineers could not possibly build the gardens in the way he envisioned, for the architectural designs and advanced irrigation necessary were impossible at the time. Nebuchadnezzar ordered that a powerful Ifrit, a supernatural being with the ability to grant wishes, be sought out within the ruins of Mesopotamia. Once one had been found, King Nebuchadnezzar II struck a deal with the creature, asking him to endow a magical incantation upon the stones to be used in construction of the gardens, allowing them to be placed in any position regardless of feasibility. He also asked the creature to grant him the secrets of irrigation, allowing him to to maintain immense gardens on any level of a structure. With these wishes granted, Nebuchadnezzar would be able to complete the wonder he dreamed of. In return however, the Ifrit would receive one woman of his choosing. Nebuchadnezzar accepted and the gardens were constructed. It was not long however, until the Ifrit returned to claim his end of the bargain. It should have been to no one’s surprise when the Ifrit informed Nebuchadnezzar II that he desired the king’s own wife. The king promptly refused. The Ifrit was furious at Nebuchadnezzar for not holding his end of the bargain, and cast a curse on the garden and its inhabitants. Over the years, the construction fell into decay as strange carnivorous plants grew in the midst of the lush gardens and preyed on unsuspecting passerby. Nebuchadnezzar was finally forced to abandon it. Subsequent explorers returned to reported location of the gardens but found no trace of any kind of structure. The only remaining evidence of the gardens existence, the scrolls, were destroyed in a fire, and the tablets, vanished from a sealed display case.
uncharted is right. what i would suggest is proof reading it and double checking your grammar, but other than that, it's as you say, something right out of uncharted

Cleaned up the lineart of some old FLCL concept art from the internet and put together a reference sheet for me to use. I might make a 1:1 replica of this in the future. Probably the biggest project compared to my other builds.
