So a bit of a time ago I had this total hard on for patent drawings, CAD drawings and likely. I made a few wallpapers with different stuff that I found awesome and gave them a bit of a texture - Yet still being consistent so I can cycle between them.
it isn't too much work I know, but I wanted to share if anyone liked 'em :v:
Here is a few examples:

[t]http://jalict.net/media/images/wallpapers/space-suit.jpg[/t][t]http://jalict.net/media/images/wallpapers/wright-plane-01.jpg[/t]
Those were just a few examples. There is a few more here (If I make more, I'll upload them to there!).
[editline]23rd January 2015[/editline]
And you guys are incredible with your drawings - Please stop it :v:
I really only like the ones with the controllers, you shoud try to avoid useless empty space. Because the other three just feel like the pages are cut and placed in the middle. It's a neat idea though!

Made it after I busted my fist open on a hard object, because I have mental issues.
If anything it could make a cool album cover!
Don't touch it though, it's a bio-hazard.
A jolly sketch I took further then what I usually do.

3D stuff fits here, right?

I've been messing with 3D and low-poly a lot recently. Made a simplified head of a friend's character a couple days ago.
Other than that, mostly getting used to using blender and fucking around with the Cycles render engine.

Some advices about lighiting would be good.
How it was done:

how do you find images of similar perspective that work for your composition? or is that half the difficulty of photobashing?
how do you find images of similar perspective that work for your composition? or is that half the difficulty of photobashing?
I draw perspective lines, then adapting pics to that perspective.
Here some source pics from that one.

you're gonna find this really weird but this kind of reminds me of babies with that harlequin disease. was this your inspiration? looks great though, i love your rendering, it's very "you" if that makes any sense.
I image searched for Harlequin disease and it was metally traumatizing.

I drew a beanloaf!
About ready to call this one done

So I've recently got into drawing, and I kept each rock I draw to measure my progress since they're the first thing I've ever tried drawing. It's cool because you can really see my progress.
[T]http://i.cubeupload.com/7sI4gK.png[/T]
I think rocks may not be the best way to measure progress since they don't have a specific look to them so you can't particularly tell if you've gotten them wrong after a certain point (Once you know how to shade well)
If you draw something else that has a specific form or proportions it may give you a better sense of progress

Well I would say for really bright light sources like you've got you should be careful of using soft shadows like you've done in places, esp. with the close proximity those shadows are going to be prominent and create a stark looking landscape of whatever surface they're used on
i.e.
another thing to be careful of is texture with distance (also I think understanding exposure well would help your work a lot)
so
on the right you have a section with more clarity receding nicely into a less clear zone, whereas on the left you've got a blurred indistinct bit with an overly sharpened noisy area behind it spacially. Seeing aliasing on stuff that's way off in the distance is offputting.
I am actually a little sad that I dont really do much of the 2d art stuff anymore. Luckily as long as I draw the odd sketch and doodle and maybe painting I can hold on to some semblance of my skills.
Sort of switched to sound design as my art form.
big announcement guys

we're not registering for gifts but anybody who buys us a two slice toaster can bugger off okay
I want 3 slice minimum
I would say I'm a pretty amateur doodler, but I like to mess around every once in awhile. So today I was sick and decided to draw something in bed and this what I came up with.

No reason to just focus on one art form
You can be good at everything

do you think these are distinct enough? i need buttons/icons that you can easily just peek at or look at in the corner of your eye and go 'yep that's that'
the reddit logo caught me off guard
overall I don't think there's much to call distinct, the typefaces (other than reddit) all look standard and it's a minimal block background. Overall they at least look like they belong together on a page
