apparently yes, it's called vkontake and it's basically the russian version of facebook. they offer the site in english but i don't know if they're big enough to have people who moderate stuff speak it but you could still try reporting it, maybe?
The website is a puzzle for me, couldnt find any way to contact or report it.
Their lack of understanding the english language is very off putting to do anything about it as well, like talking to a brick wall.
From the research ive done of it they butchered my art, sized it up, removed my watermarks and put it one some cheap plastic for iphones.
Couldve figured for doing some pony art that it would get stolen someday anyway.
Anyone any experience with art theft?
I've found out yet again that some of my art is being sold without my consent or knoweldge.
Which understandably pisses me off quite much.
Ive found multiple sources trace back to a site called "vk.com" that is completely in russian that sells even more stolen work.
Any advice whatsoever is appreciated, as im seriously considering quitting uploading any art or plastering huge watermarks over it.
dw about it, it doesn't matter
I appreciate the suggestion although am really unfamiliar with Observational Drawing Exercise, do you know any Websites or even a book that could be useful to understanding Observation Drawing?
I can't think of any off the top of my head - if I think of any I'll let you know. Every day just get a random object - some good things to start with are shoes, household appliances, buildings, trees, models and figurines, or anything that interests you. Start with a very light, sketchy outline to get the placement and proportions correct. Then start blocking in the basic shapes and continue to detail from there. The important thing to remember is to work on the drawing as a whole - don't go into the little details if you don't have the basic shapes down.
Also you might want to try figure drawing. There are sites like Pixelovely that have reference images for you to draw from. I recommend doing 60 second poses - this teaches you to look at the figure as a whole and not get hung up on little details.
That said, drawing from life can get pretty boring and cerebral. It's one of the best things you can do for your art, but don't forget to have fun with it or just take a break if you need to
Worked on another Tshirt design, I think I'm getting closer to something I like!

Holy shit I moved the file from school and now this shit looks so out of focus.
Does anyone here have any advice/tutorials for drawing digitally? I have a lot of free time so I want to try to learn something new.

sorry if I'm posting too much, but I've just finished up this acrylic piece and I'd like some critique

I've only done a few traditional pieces before this and I didn't use much in the way of reference except for the building. I spent quite a few hours on it and I'm most likely not putting any more time into it, but I would appreciate feedback for future reference.

Use a bigger brush! Like, way bigger than you think. Don't go smaller until you get around to detailing. I think you can also go for higher contrast as well. So far so good man, I'm looking forward to seeing what else you post here in the future!

It feels a little flat. I know its a bit tricky with outdoor scenes but I think you can benefit from picking a light source/direction and really sticking to it. That said what you have looks alright, its just a matter of practice I think

Nice! I think it'd be really neat if you played more with light sources. It'd be cool if the jellies looked a bit incandescent and had a glow to them, for example. It would be hard to pull off but it would make them look a lot more dynamic.

Thanks! :D I agree, I tried was pretty hard to make them sheer almost but they still came out pretty solid looking. I've actually been working with things to play with light and see if I can learn to work with it better. I appreciate the reply! :)

Hey guys, before I upload this i thought i'd let it get double checked here, since the last time i posted i got a few critique that helped me out immensely.
i'm at that point right now that i've been working too much on it and cant see flaws anymore, if there is any.

anything like something looking weird or lighting issue or something needing more detailing, it helps me understand.
(sorry for the compressed image)
The perspective from the sword and the guard is slightly off -- the blade doesn't twist toward the foreground as much as the handle does. Other than that it looks awesome.
The thumbs are nice and lively, imaginative and have nice if cartoonish proportions. the sketches are messy and amateurish and don't tell us anything that the silhouettes haven't told us already - with those, the outline and action are good, all of the interior work is sort of filled in by the viewer. by redoing the same thing with bad linework you're resolving that implied detail, but in a way that delivers a poor result, so a lot of the value of the char thumb is lost. Not just that, but you lost the liveliness and spontaneity, you made them stiff and lifeless, like wooden toys. To take a nice silhouette and -improve- it by resolving it in linework, you need firstly nice drawing technique but also solid ideas of perspective in forms, drapery, anatomy, that kind of thing. With the silhouette our eye is filling all of that in, so you have to be very capable to beat that impression in developing it.
again the thumbs are great, I'm really impressed. Just need to study a lot of stuff to begin executing ideas well in more finished ways
Anatomy is the thing I think I'm lacking in most. Re. the lines I tend to rough them out all gross and scribbly then go back and refine with more confident strokes once I've figured out my final forms.
I actually enjoy the more cartoonish proportions of the originals (esp the elongated torso and shorter legs of the skinnier guys), so I might go back and start the line drawings from scratch.
Thanks heaps for the break down!

i'm rly excited for this movie so i wanted to do a little lineless drawing of arlo
i had fun with the colors! i'm trying to experiment with doing shading and highlighting with different colors rather than the ones on the same scale as the base color.
there's a lil smudge by his foot but im not sure what layer it's on lol

I'm thinking you need to work on your colors a bit. Right now they're pretty good and appealing, but they lack contrast, and the shading seems too light. Also, the eyebrows being blue and above the hair is kinda jarring.
but other than that it looks sick as hell, really digging the style you have
Thanks mako for the kick up the butt lol

Made a game on Unity 5.
I did everything except for sound.
Everything is procedural generated (including the background) and totally random (well... as random as the pseudo random number generator in Unity).
This is the PC build, though the game will only be on mobile.
It's also quite an old build too, I've done a lot of work especially on physics since then.
Mobile version will use tilt for control.
I wanna make the same game on UE4 as well, haha.
Took me a week to get an alpha version going, but the last bit of gameplay is taking 2+ weeks now...
10% of work cost 90% of time is so true...
I don't know if it's feasible in Unity 5, but if it is, you should definitely try having the light in the ball cast shadows from the obstacles. I think it would look much nicer that way.

Can't be done for mobile :/
In fact, all the shadows you see in that video will be stripped in the mobile version.
Dynamic lighting is VERY expensive on mobile.
As I am generating tiles on the fly and everything is constantly moving, I cannot bake in any shadow information.
I can have a blob shadow move around, but it doesn't really look good :/
So I wanted to do Observation Drawing but I realised I had a Pro Wacom Tablet that I never was able to use for a whole year since I purchased it, since I had education, war and the fact I had no electricity at the time, but since now I have Solar Fucking Energy Panels, I decided for the first time Try digital art.

Drawing on paper for so long makes drawing on a Tablet weird and hard.
*Woops I didn't realise I made the picture transparent*
