taking my knowledge from chickens rather than raptors, don't they try to keep their heads level all the time? So his head would stay level, at the same height, while his body bobs up and down
Yeah, I realize that now. I figure if I make the pivot on the head a little more subtle and transpose the frames that have the neck a few over so it counteracts the body, it would be good. [editline]30th August 2015[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/HG75TEm.gif[/t] It looks so boring now though. :/ More realistic, sure, but boring.
I like it.

Right now the first version just bobs up and down with no feeling of inertia/weight/gravity
made a repainting of one of my digital pieces on oils original: [thumb]http://pre09.deviantart.net/b843/th/pre/i/2015/134/e/b/mezhar_by_kerimakyuz-d8tdfbc.jpg[/thumb] It really is different when you paint something of your self on a canvas. ive been intimidated for a long time to paint something without any references on a canvas, scared of failing miserably. i feel like the next thing i should try is plen air

A velociraptor has a massive arse and its thighs connect at the top around the hip to the same point that the tail originates. I can see how you've got that anatomy from a picture but it's not quite right - the top of the thigh should encompass the entire area around its arse including the joint that you currently have for the tail, which is what makes it so fast and what makes it look so powerful. In your animation the torso is also really long which makes it look front heavy, which isn't necessarily wrong but the tail needs to be far longer to compensate.

A panda with wings Yo [editline]30th August 2015[/editline] And it's a boombox. And he's flipping us off
Haha, I see the winged panda flipping us off now too. He also has some sweet shades on. e: oh yeah and the tape is a boombox huh. Whelp. This seems like the actual description now rather than an interpretation.

A friend of me drew this. What do you guys think?
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6ygOZmK.jpg[/img_thumb] Some grey scale practice. I got better as I went on, bottom left was the last one I did, so thats why its better than the others. I feel like, every time I start up photoshop theres this sense of dred, because every time I feel as if Ive forgotten everything. Sucks, because its holding me back, I dont want to be amazing at painting (I mean, I wouldn't mind it either) but Id still like to be proficient.
been trying to integrate backgrounds into pictures lately. how's it all looking?
The style of the sky doesn't match the figure and ground

The background doesn't really mesh with the character at all. As in, it sorta looks like some flat-perspective promo clipart of the character pasted over a random background. The foot contacts don't really work with the scale/perspective of the background you painted
Hot damn, call me inspired to do more.
been trying to integrate backgrounds into pictures lately. how's it all looking?
I think the colors work fine together but there's a few things that catch my eye. The clouds are the only real content in the majority of the background and they don't have very much definition or shape so it looks rather slapped together. The road is a smaller portion of the screen so detail is less of an issue but the horizon line art needs to have much less weight and have a more consistent style to the character. Other than the background I think the character could have another dark shade to make the pose easier to understand. Does anyone have experience with moving from an off-brand Monoprice/Huion/whatever tablet to a Wacom? I just got my Cintiq 13HD and I can't get the pressure to work in any software, though it all worked fine with my old Monoprice tablet. I can see the tablet pressure is working in the tablet settings dialog, though. To anyone using a Wacom tablet and especially a Cintiq, is there supposed to be a taskbar icon when the tablet is hooked up and working? Nothing like that is popping up for me even though the drivers seem to be working with the expresskeys and screen overlays and such
