I know its a panorama so there isn't really supposed to be a single focal point, but making one would help I think. Also the colours aren't unified in any meaningful way - which is something I'm guilty of myself. It's not necessarily a bad thing but next time maybe experiment with picking two or three colours from a photo or somebody else's artwork and work primarily with those colours.
Still it feels very big and impressive to look at. i imagine this a render with photos/other assets added in later with some special effects? I'm curious as to what your process was

The left half says future/sci-fi but the right half doesn't.
Maybe you could flip the image so as you're looking from left to right you realize it's a sci-fi world.
Otherwise amazing, you should do book covers or something :v:

Some sort of antialiasing would be good
also the centers of these 3 areas look sort of like glitches rather than building lights to me because of the variation's of light color coming from single buildings (or what appears to be single buildings.) maybe try keeping the lights from a single building all the same color

Well, I decided to do the upside down "Igor Stravinsky" exercise that I've seen recommended around the net. This is probably my first time picking up a pencil and actually trying to draw in my life, so I'm not sure if it belongs here or in the deviantart Appreciation Station, but what the heck.

That exercise comes from the book "Drawing on the right side of the brain"
It's a good read, even if the neuroscience side of it might be a whole load of crap.
I have that book somewhere, unless i sold it. I also have a drawing from that exercise. It is p. bad
people should know that it was drawn upside down from an upside down reference.

Anyone can draw if they put the time into it.
But for being pretty much your first, your lines are impressive. You have a little bit of line petting here and there but it's not a scratchy mess like you see with most at this stage.
And that hand is pretty damn funny.

That's a really nice signature.
I did another thing. Getting the hang of it now. It's more hand eye coordination than artistic ability for me at this point. Sketching a copy of something is just constant undo's from a line going in some weird direction, and coloring in the abstract sloppy way isn't terribly difficult. Small details are still a no go and fucking impossible for me
