Trying to make a low-poly style game. Here are a couple hours worth of assets and post process tweaking.

I always paint in grayscale so I decided to paint this only using colours, for like the first time ever. [thumb]http://orig13.deviantart.net/e2a3/f/2015/256/7/4/cave_by_jhkris-d99hg6j.jpg[/thumb] i think it turned out pretty ok
Looks nice but it's basically redscale :v:
Looks nice but it's basically redscale :v:
well, it's a step forward at least!

Yo, i need some illustrator help. How do i make it so the bangs at the bottom blend into the above half-ellipse while still keeping all the original gradients? Edit: seems i'm in the wrong thread. a link to the right thread would also be appreciated

[editline]14th September 2015[/editline] I dont think there is a right thread anymore cuz someone killed the creative corner You could also try using an mask to make the top of the "bangs" a gradient from opaque to transparent.
You could also try using an mask to make the top of the "bangs" a gradient from opaque to transparent.
That was my idea too, but masks in illustrator is nothing like photoshop
create object with a gradient that goes from opaque to transparent: Select both and go to transparency window and click make mask: result: Would look something like this: [t]http://puu.sh/kaVYv/309d8cf11c.jpg[/t] without selection: [t]http://puu.sh/kaW0K/c036a7a1b0.jpg[/t]
Another proof of concept I made at work. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/i5xpWFm.jpg[/thumb] Box is made from acrylic and wood veneer (just currently spraymounted on) Designs were made in 2d design and laser cut.

All the characters on the left-hand-side are backward though, I assume it's intentional.
Looks nice but it's basically redscale :v:
What the heck happened to :v: :v: what is that :v: I'm sure that's changed
The laptop doesn't have a keyboard.
Just pretend it's a oddly designed laptop whereas it's keyboard is for some reason shifted more to the left and as a result obscured by the back of the laptop. On a more serious note I'll probably put some keyboard detail on it later or not I dunno
http://reppoy.com/ I went to a hackathon this weekend and I designed this site. Sadly we were unable to get it functional on time, but we might keep working on it since most of the backend is done. If you press login you'll see the chat page.
FYI, some of your Chinese characters are flipped left to right. All the characters on the left-hand-side are backward though, I assume it's intentional.
fyi it's japanese. please don't confuse them.
fyi it's japanese. please don't confuse them.
FYI, I speak both... The ones on the left hand side of the image are all shared characters... both Japanese Kanji and Traditional Chinese. Also, Kanji does mean Chinese characters, if you translate into English. and in this case, the only character that is not shared between Japanese Kanji and Traditional Chinese is 薬 vs 藥, which is too blurry to make out in the background... Not to mention that 粉粥 is a Chinese phrase, not Japanese... and yes, foreground has Katagana, but I'm only talking about the Kanji 漢字 (aka Chinese character) in the background
I really love how much movement that sketch has. Do you use Photoshop?
Thanks! I use FireAlpaca.
no they're not
Yes they are
Thanks! I use FireAlpaca.
No prob! I have yet to try out that one. A quick question to anybody: Is there a free animation software available anywhere? I'm just looking for something light that has onion skinning and easy transition between frames. The only one I know of is Pencil2D, but it has a whole bunch of errors (not allowing me to save, crashing, brushes and selection tools not working right, all at random). Other than that, I know of one that fits my needs but it's for mobile devices only.
