Torso tiny. Legs Big. Looks odd.
Torso tiny. Legs Big. Looks odd.
Can you elaborate more, please?
She looks sorta like a chubby kid. I think it'd help to stretch out her limbs and torso just a bit. And maybe make her pose more complex, as she looks really stiff atm [editline]26th September 2015[/editline] in other news have a messy character design [t]http://i.imgur.com/x0QH6Dq.jpg[/t]
Can you elaborate more, please?
Sure, I'll try at least. Id say the legs are...... 20-30% too big compared to the upper torso
How do I enable the Color Wheel windows in PS6.0? Or is there even one? It's kinda distracting when I have to press a combination of keys to bring up the Wheel itself.
You can probs get an addon for it? Personally I much prefer to HUD pop-up one for speed
Sure, I'll try at least. Id say the legs are...... 20-30% too big compared to the upper torso
Too wide or too long? 'Big' isn't very specific.
You can probs get an addon for it? Personally I much prefer to HUD pop-up one for speed
How do you configure your pen and tablet? Normally I put the buttons on the pen for changing brush and the other one being blank. To bring up the wheel I have to configure one button on the tablet to perform a keystroke. But yeah, an add-on sounds great, but there seems to be tons of color wheel add-ons out there. Any recommendation?
Woo some rough textures (And bump maps too)! I kind of fucked up on the hands though, oh well. Just double checking, is 3D stuff OK here? I know this forum has a 3D modeling section but IDK if they have a thread like this there (plus I'm kind of a novice at this still and probably wouldn't fit in).

And your optimus prime is looking pretty sweet.
Too wide or too long? 'Big' isn't very specific.
Both. I know arms are thinner than legs, but legs are too thick. So they're Big. Plus they feel too long as well. Other than That, pretty good drawing
doing a little thing for the gf. can i get some critique on this?

I really wanna do some character artwork but I haven't actually drawn anything non-abstract in years, and back when I did I had an embarrassingly poor sense of proportion and perspective...
i <3 perspective
this is really cool dude. planning on colouring it?

This is really cool. I like when pages are filled out like this. The only downside is that when looking at it your focus is scattered all over cause there's so much detail everywhere. I think the next "step" for people doing these kind of pages is using some composition fundamentals to make the page feel more natural to look at (unless you actually want it to be the "scattered" way, which is totally fine if you like it more like that). Very cool though I like the clean style.
Anyone know an old 2d animation that was posted here? It was about a box shaped cat. It was really nicely drawn and everything and it was about 40 seconds long.
-meh..-
this is really cool dude. planning on colouring it?
Not sure. We have to add greyscale tone for class, colouring it would be extra. But it sure would look nice though...
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Dy0dBDp.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Had the idea to strap some jet engines to old planes, this is the result.

-Snip, nevermind.-
Saw an interesting prompt on reddit and wrote a short story
Let me tell you about the day the world ended. It was March 28, 2017. I was 19 back then. I sat in a the middle of a burnt out house with a bottle of root beer. Didn’t know the owner, didn’t care. I don’t remember how I ended up there. All I knew was that everyone on Earth had one minute left to live. That final minute was hell. The second hand on my watch seemed to move every two seconds. I wanted it to end already, but at the same time, I kind of wanted to keep on living. As it hit five seconds to the end of that final minute I shut my eyes tight and waited, counting down in my head. Five, four, three, two, one, zero… negative one, negative two, negative three, negative four. I counted until negative twenty before I finally slowly opened my eyes. My heart was pounding so hard it hurt. I thought maybe I’d die of a heart attack before it got me. I looked up reluctantly, expecting to see a massive fireball heading straight towards me, but there was nothing. Where the fuck was it? I waited an hour, two hours, then a day. For that one day, everything just stopped. There were no riots, no murders, no robberies, nothing. I guess everyone was waiting for it too. It didn’t take long until the fires started again, the shootings, the relentless partying. Everyone thought it was just late. Whatever, they’d spend that extra time doing what they had before. It was three whole days until word got out that there had been a fuck-up. A massive fuck-up. Like “NASA had told us we were all going to die and then nothing happened” massive. Needless to say, people were pissed. I will get to what happened after that, but I must stop to clarify that the world didn’t really end in just one day but rather about a week and a half. When we first heard the news most people were pretty skeptical. We laughed at the idea of another 2012 hoax. It wasn’t until the newspapers, news channels and just about every other news source on the planet started reading headlines like “NASA confirms 8-mile-wide asteroid heading for Earth” that we realized that, holy shit, this was real. The reaction was just about as you’d expect. There was looting, arson, murder. I guess this was how most people thought it would be best to spend their last weeks on Earth, after all, what were the consequences? Yeah, even the GameStops were looted. Guess people needed to get that last game of Call of Duty in before the end of the world. Not that it mattered, since it didn’t take long for the power grid in most cities to fail. You’d be surprised how much people managed to fuck up the world in such a short time. Office workers smashed their computers and flipped off their bosses. Factory workers did likewise but took a match to their workstations and soon, the biggest companies in the world no longer had a place to manufacture their products. Again, not like it really mattered then, anyway. Of course, not everyone believed in the coming apocalypse. There were some who fought to keep order, but it was useless. Try keeping order when the whole freaking world has just been told they’ll be dead in a week. Why take chances? Obviously, there were people who didn’t involve themselves so much in the crazy stuff, just sat at home, phoning the people they’d hurt in life, saying they were sorry so they wouldn’t die an asshole. Some people sat and prayed in churches, some at home. Some families just stayed together, spent those last days making up for whatever had gone wrong in their lives. Me, I didn’t really do much. Sure I’d hurt people in my life but what the hell did it matter, we’d all be dead soon anyway. Dead people can’t be assholes when everyone else is dead too. I had no high school crush to phone, no person I wanted to spend that last day with. I wasn’t much of a party person either, though I did down a few bottles of alcohol on a couple occasions. To be honest, I wasn’t really happy with how my life had gone up to that point, but it’s not like I had any reason to change anything, or so I thought. Anyway, enough about my life. Back to NASA. As you might imagine, their headquarters was a mess quicker than you could imagine. It was bombed, set on fire, shot at. People wanted to fucking lynch these guys and believe me, they did some. Insane as that sounds, it’s about what you’d expect for basically throwing everyone’s lives into chaos. For me, things hadn’t really gone much more downhill than they already were after they said Earth would be destroyed. Anyhow, by the time things had settled down, the place basically looked like how I’d imagine Vietnam looked like by ‘75. I didn’t think about it then, and I guess no one else did, but if an asteroid did end up hurtling towards us for real later on, we’d all be pretty screwed. Anyway, If you can’t imagine what a week’s worth of looting, rioting, and general last minute fuck-it-ery would look like let me make it more clear. Most suburban neighborhoods basically ended up a huge smoldering mess after someone inevitably lit a fire, purposely or not. Obviously the firemen weren’t much concerned with putting out the fires since they, like everyone else, just wanted to worry about something else. Cities didn’t look much better. The skyscrapers were dotted with broken panes where people had thrown their computer, or themselves to the pavement. Cars scattered the streets, smashed and burning. I imagine that at least half of the cars on the planet were trashed. Lots of people were dead, no one I really cared about, however. There were still tons of living people obviously; the ones that just decided to wait it out. That included me. After that, the best we could do was just try to live normal lives as best we could. Personally, I had to turn to dumpster diving and killing squirrels since there weren’t exactly stores full of food anymore. You’d be surprised at what you could find in a dumpster early on. A can of Progresso or Campbell’s was more than enough cause for celebration. Anyway, things never really went back to normal. Most people had to start growing their own food, which usually wasn’t enough. The bigger farmers sometimes gave out food for free which was really the only thing that saved most people. I ended up being an armed guard for those food handouts, since you know how people can be. To be honest, my life could’ve ended up much worse than it did. Sure, there was no electricity, internet, or even running water. The important thing was that I was alive, and not starving. I figured most of the shitty people in the world were now dead so maybe the world was better off in a way. Most of the burdens I’d had pre-apocalypse were now gone. There was no school, work, wars, or relationships to worry about. In the end it wasn’t an asteroid that had destroyed humanity, it was fear. Fear that our last moments on Earth would be wasted, fear that everything we’d ever done would soon be pointless, fear of the nothing that would surely follow death. The apocalypse had happened, just not the way we all thought it would. Some people would say the world was worse off, but me, I’d say things were just fine.
The prompt was
NASA mistakenly predicts an unavoidable apocalypse. Earth descends into hedonistic anarchy with everyone trying to live it up in their last days, but what are the consequences when Armageddon doesn't happen?
Feel free to give cc if you read.
