It looks to me like you're generalizing the breasts - look closer at your reference and try to really replicate what's happening there. Boobs are hard

Aye, they're...tough titties.

The lighting on the ladder to the left looks odd. The little cage-light next to it seems to be flush with the rim of the wall, but the shadows make it seem like it's sticking out beyond the ladder, shining onto the ladder's front.
I mean, if the light were shining from behind, then the rungs of the ladder wouldn't be casting shadows on the wall - they'd be casting on the ground below, if anywhere.
EDIT: Looked again, and the shadows around the drainage pipes on the right near the burning barrel look odd too. They're pointing almost straight-left and down, but the closest and brightest light source (the burning barrel) is below them. Seems like the pipes' shadows ought to be pointing more upwards instead.
Do you guys have any recommendations for learning to draw general/anatomy tutorials? Thought I'd ask because I'm looking around and there's just so many, so I'm curious if anyone has specific guides that stood out for them
Love all the work in this thread!!
Hey guys, just a quick question. At what point do you think it's appropriate to obtain/create a website for your online portfolio? I've only used Tumblr up to this point but I'm curious if it's wise to have a website as well, even if I'm still a novice.

Just buy a cheap ass domain and maaaaybe a premium Tumblr theme and point your domain to it
Tumblr is actually really decent for web hosting

I used to have one of those infographs that people make for tutorials all about every muscle group in the body with colored muscles but I can't remember where it is at the moment. There are hundreds of these kinds of images on google so those are always there if you want to study specific muscles at a time. This isn't exactly anatomy but I'll post the obligatory http://www.posemaniacs.com/thirtysecond exercise. They are 3d models so they don't represent the way muscles move and change shape in your body accurately, but they still show an overlay of muscles in your body so it might help with anatomy as well as pose drawing. I grind these poses out every now and then and I genuinely feel like it helped me get better at drawing a human body.

Anyone got experience with cheap tablets? I'm having some issues.
I know cheap tablets have issues but I simply can't afford a bigger Wacom tablet. I bought myself a UGEE M708.
The problems I'm having is photoshop not detecting the pressure sensitivity and Sketchbook having some massive offset from the mouse pointer (only when it's configured for only one of my screens, spanning both screens works fine for some reason) The offset changes depending how far I am from the right edge of my screen as seen below:
[t]http://puu.sh/kzRF5/5b43f1b871.png[/t]
The dots on the right are with my mouse and the dots on the left are clicking the same place with my tablet.
Now, the weirdest thing of all is that everything works perfectly fine if I don't install the drivers, which I might have to do. Although I would really like to be able to customise the buttons on the pen and tablet.

When I open SAI it straight up stops responding until I select a different window...
Photoshop Wouldn't work for me at all with my cheap tablet. Ended up using Krita.
Do you only do landscapes?
Nope! I do other things too. If you let me know what you're looking for we can talk about whether I can fulfill that need.
So I got a wacom draw to do some physics stuff and my active area is fucking up from time to time and I got some painful input lag in SAI
What did I do wrong Jesus? Thought you guys would have some idea

It is probably a problem with your machine... What is the spec of your machine?

Okay the problem with sketchbook only happens in 2015. I loaded up Pro 6 and it was fine.
Kinda have to get used to this new tablet but I'm pretty sure it's input lagging after a while in SAI
[editline]6th October 2015[/editline]
Right everything was cool but then I got a windows pop up and after I closed that shit my stuff got so floaty it felt like my tablet was on the moon

Do you happen to be running off your onchip(ASUS) GPu due to some power saving setting?
Also, your northbridge is burning... is that temp reader correct? lol
Idk man, photoshop and other shit like that is smooth as fuck tho
SAI has a mouse stabilizer that you may be thinking is input lag, perhaps it is turning on when you press something to get back into SAI.
Yeah did stuff at 0 and it felt a little better.
Idk could be feeling wierd just because I'm getting used to it.
Feels a lot better now tho.
The main issue I get with SAI is lack of pressure sensitivity and the first second or so of a stroke not registering properly causing a perfectly straight line at the beginning of every stroke.
Is Lazy Nezumi as useful as the developers let on? I'm pretty terrible with my tablet, especially in flash when it comes to adjusting pressure.

Imo yes if you need it. It has a free trial regardless so you can judge for yourself :)

It's worth it for the ability to fine tune the pressure ramp alone

guess who's been doing nothing but reading jojo for the past half a year oh god kill me
Some progress on Optimus, I've done some rigging but it's still a bit wonky, I'll have to fix the weights on the hands too, they're a bit squishy. The fender is too reflective but I'll fix that last.

This will eventually turn into a 1 minute animation for a project. I'll hopefully have it done in a week and a bit.

It had a placebo effect on me when I initially tried it, but after a couple days after the trial expired I didn't miss it at all. These days when I've got lineart-related problems, I just rotate the canvas or try drawing the problematic line from the other side and then it usually works. Just something little that allows me to tackle the problem from a slightly different angle and reset my viewpoint.
That said, I didn't have a major problem with trembling hands or anything, I just occasionally got into a ctrl+z rut and wondered if a software crutch could save me the occasional frustration.
I use it for more than stabilization though. The default wacom pressure ramp always left me with shitty nipples on the end of every stroke. Maybe my hand moves too fast?
Plus, the non-stroke correction functions are damned useful too, like the perspective snap stuff
number four is my favourite

Tried out something other than hard brushes, dunno why I didn't do this earlier. Really pleased with how this turned out.

Its very disheartening doing work with ink on paper when you have shaky hands
