I wanted a piercing on my bottom lip at one stage but apparently they "hurt like a screaming little bitch" so I don't know.

Uhh. No they don't. Mine felt like someone was pinching it kinda hard, then it was just a bit sore.
I only have a Labret piercing :3
Speaking of, I just put PTFE jewelry in my labret and medusa. Holy shit these are smooth as sin :buddy:
Got my first tattoo two weeks ago, healing up very nicely and I am very happy about it. And now I can see why they say getting tattoos is addictive.
(Let's see if automerge will work)
I am also planning on getting one or many ear cartilage piercings (Helix piercings) simply because I want a ear spiral, but I also heard conflicting stories and experiences about the healing process and wanted to ask.
I am not too worried about ear collapse etc... but some say because the pierced area is through cartilage, it hurts (or at least throbs) even months after getting the piercing while others said that they were fine and without pain after two days. So can anyone share their own experience?

I can't supply any own experiences, but I've heard many, many times that punching is a lot better for your ear cartilage. When it's pierced theres always a lot pressure on the piercing, and by punching out a bit of cartilage there is less pressure and it heals better and faster. Bonus point, it's said that it doesn't hurt a lot more than piercing through it.
I've got one small tattoo on my left forearm, and I've got five ear piercings; four in my left and one in my right. I'm currently saving up to get a tattoo across my collarbone. I'm pretty fuckin' excited.

If you're thinking about getting snakebites/eyebrow piercings, they don't hurt
Thinking of getting nose done
The worst part of lip piercings are other people.
They're not there to be bitten, especially when they're healing :smith:
Does someone else encounter this strange thing with stretching lobes? One side is always fine and goes easily, and the other side just fucks around everytime.
What are you using to stretch? I know if you go the PTFE tape route, sometimes you can wrap one side kind of wonkily.
Also, I'm getting another piercing soon to have a bit of symmetry, any ideas?

I have that "problem" with tape and expanders. Ain't a real problem, but it's somehow annoying, but only a few more steps and I'm done with it.
Are you using tons of oils?

Because oils are awesome.

I just got my left nostril done, too.
I believe this thread should be revived.
Got my ears pierced today. Had my tongue done for around 8 months.
Anyone have any experience transition from a 14 to a 12? Can I just slap it in there?
I'm fairly sure it was pierced at a 14, but I bought some 12s by accident ages ago, and I can't remember if I've worn any of them.
So, on the topic of tattoos.
I have two questions.
Will tattoos cover scars that I have?
And will an injury damage a tattoo? like, will a scar deform the colours, or whatever.

Also, I used to have a lip piercing. It apparently suited me, but I made a deal with my dad that I'll get rid of it if I can drop mathematics as a subject :3:

And lastly, I wanted to do a Tattoo artist apprenticeship while studying Law, but I don't have time :saddowns:
i got a tattoo over several keloid scars about 7 months ago. tattoo needles can actually be used to decrease the height of keloid scars and mine were reduced a bit. the scars are still there but they're barely visible unless someone is looking for them since they blend in with the shading on the tattoo.
I have an insulin pump and glucose monitor on my body. Modding FTW.
Well the things I have added to my body of "You will regret that when you're old" is snake bites, septum, a spider tattoo on my wrist and a crow tattoo that covers most of my back.
My start designing a sleeve tattoo at the end of this year. Only problem is my wallet is empty for most of this year.
Tattoo prices are pretty insane right around here. Maybe we should change the tattoo thread title to reflect body mods, since it's pretty much the only popular thread of that sort.
Just found out that none of my tongue barbells want to fit. My retainer works, but my tongue's been sore and swollen for a few days. I did discover that 12s fit width wise, but they're too short.

You look so fucking gross
Yo don't leech off activity from the tattoo thread, it's only just getting more active recently!

I know there's an overlap, but if you post about your ink in here at least repost to tattoo discussion, I like that thread and it should stay healthy
Chicks with split tongues are hot!
I always wondered if a thread like this existed, I also think maybe it should be combined with the tattoo thread, as the topics can overlap and then the thread would be more lively :D
I have my eyebrow pierced and I love it but I've had it since last Easter and I still get crusties on it. I think it healed okay because its not sore and I've been swimming abroad and everything and it's been fine, so I just clean it regularly, is this okay? Because someone told me if I'm still getting crusties it could be posing a risk and I should remove it (I really don't want to, even my family think it suits me).
I also have my earlobes pierced twice (second pair are healing now, can't wait to change the studs) and I have 2 tattoos, one on my shoulder and one on my arm and I have at least 3 more kind of planned for in the future.

If you're talking about stretching your ears from 14 gauge to 12 gauge straight away don't. Let them heal first before stretching. Wait at least a month.
I have both my ears stretched to 16mm, my labret pierced and my left nosed pierced. I have tattoos on both of my shins and planning on getting the back of my left leg covered in April / May sometime. If I get any more piercings I want collar bones or something of the sort.
