Do you have any idea how fucking scary the last boss was?
Or that stupid cat in the livingroom who tore you apart (It's a childrens game, by the way.).
The original Halo, the Xbox edition.
I don't find the game itself scary at all, but I always have vivid nightmares about genocide after playing it. Curiously, I don't get the nightmares when I play the PC version.
OP is pretty scary shit IMO.
Those Egyptian deaths all look horrible. And so do those mine deaths.
Same, but for me it was that section were you have fought your way to the botton of a massive underground base, then you find out that you have to escape, and this time while being attacked by watre baloon-zombie things.
and there was never. ENOUGH. AMMO!
Oh, and for my contribution, ravenholm was pretty scary, but didn't really give me nightmares.

Yeah same here but no games ever gave me nightmares :3:

Whoops, thanks for pointing that out.
Also, half life (the original) kind of scared the shit out of me when my dad downloaded the demo and I saw that barney guy die in front of me because I didn't pick up a pistol earlier and thus couldn't save him. Whew, that was a mouthful.
When I was a kid I was so scared of taking on Bowser in Mario 64 that I never got further than the first levels :v:
F.E.A.R and Condemned also made some marks (often in my pants).
Edit: To avoid misunderstandings, I was not a kid when playing F.E.A.R :v: (not that anybody cares)
I think Prince Of Persia 3D gave me some nightmares.
What?! I was 7 back then!
Silent Hill 2 wasn't scary at all in my opinion.
Just the fact that his name was "Pyramid Head", made me laugh my arse off.
I was playing BioShock last year with my brother, and I started the game over again.
I went to scavenge for EVE Hypos and the like. I spent 10 minutes doing this, and I notice a sound, like white noise. I turn slowly, veeerryyy slowly, and see someone's feet. I thought it was the guy that I had killed. But I looked closer and saw that the dead body was on the left side of the screen, and the feet were moving.
While this was happening, my brother turned off the lights and turned the sound all the way up. He did not know what was going on. So I slowly pan the camera up, which allows me to see a body, breathing heavily over me (that was the white noise I heard). I looked into his face, he was wearing a surgeon mask, and holding a scalpel. We looked at each other for an extremely long second, then he yelled really fucking loud and attacked me. I killed him, but that was the only time I ever got scared of a videogame, or anything for that matter.
I still remember it in graphic detail.
:tinfoil:
Graphic Detail.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterflies or Project Zero. That game was bloody scary. I still remember those fucking jumpers and screamers and random choke holds.

Those ghost memory things or whatever they are scare me in that game.
I played Doom 1, Wolf 3d, Quake 1, when I like, 3-5 years old.
Never dreamed about anything despite the fact that all those games were 3D and would've scared a little kid like I was.
I was a little kid on a fucking rampage.
FEAR only scared me a bit, but most of it was scripted.
Tetris.

...oh the sounds :(
Never found any game scary. Though doom 3 made me have some weird ass dreams after playing it for 6 hours.
Peggle! i still lay awake at night scared of that smiling unicorn.
super mario bros. :ohdear:
Silent Hill 1
My dad was borrowing it from our neighbour, but his PSX was broken, so he used mine. After he was finished playing it he forgot to take the disk out. I switch it on about an hour later expecting to play Lego Rock Raiders, instead I get crazy ass zombie shit. I was only about 4 at the time, so it scared the hell out of me.
Halo 3!
Oh that storyline... AHHH!
FUCKING HUGE BUMB!
but on topic, silent hill 1
Alone in the dark was scary at one point
watching my dad play Thief: the metal age when I was like, 7. those giant robots were scary to me. also, the zombies in the first Thief.
call of cthulu, i sometimes still dream about it, played it a long time ago, the first mission with the mansion scared the shit out of me
The Shalebridge Cradle in Thief 3. Scary as fuck.
Oblivion going in caves
None.
9 years old playing Half-Life, had a hard time sleeping in fear of headcrabs and zombies
This may sound dumb, but I had nightmares from Gmod. It was that physgun that caused it.
Also from Quake 4.. but who doesn't after seeing your legs getting chopped off by a saw and turned into a Strogg?
