Word to the wise, don't sign your posts.
Although I agree, Some people do it out of a massive force of habit. I have a friend who signs everything. From facebook posts to school essays.
I really want to post a few of my photos, but you guys probably won't like them. :(
Don't put yourself down like that :\
I'm thinking about getting an entry level DSLR soon. Should I get a Canon or Nikon?
No body uses SLR's anymore.
I use my OM-1 from 70's.
Don't put yourself down like that :\
It's really just that most people are posting nature shots and stuff. I live in the city, and I'd have to drive for at least 2 hours to get to any nature not torn down for construction of buildings. So my pictures don't really compare. But, here's 4 pictures anyway. Mediocre, blurry, shit lighting, awful composing Brohint: huge images load slowly, and slow the flaws in your photographs.
Mediocre, blurry, shit lighting, awful composing Brohint: huge images load slowly, and slow the flaws in your photographs.
It's fixed. My camera always takes fucking huge ass pictures. Forgot to resize, but it's done now.
I'm thinking about getting an entry level DSLR soon. Should I get a Canon or Nikon?
Go to a camera store and try out some of the canon and nikon entry level cameras. Whichever feels most comfortable in your hands.
Canon has a bit better selection of optics.
I have a DSLR and I love it. It's a Nikon D50. A bit old now, but still works great. Some of the photos I've taken with it are here: http://jessicabillings.weebly.com/photography.html
Nikon all the way.
Haw yeah, cheap old Canon Rebel XT. It gets the job done for only 300 dollars.
The reason I made it seem godly is because, since im just starting with the whole photo business it seemed good to me.
I've got a Nikon D70s, which I've had for a few years. It's getting old, but it still serves me well A few of my pics: My Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/petegriffith/ Feel free to add me, I practically have zero traffic :v:
caught this one yesterday. Did I mention I love the sunsets in my area? :buddy: click it for an interesting story on what happened when I took it. I saw this in my dream, seemingly years ago, and the moment I saw it yesterday I was just struck in awe.

Especially your nature shots, though I think the HDR on that first one is a little overdone.
I have a Milolta Maxxum 7000i, not too old, and a film camera. I fucking love it. I got it for photo, and I am planning on taking photo II next year. While it is up to people's opinions, I recommend getting a film camera. It is much more hand on and I think more fun. I love developing and using enlargers. It is much more fulfilling.

I was unsure myself, but posted it anyway as some people seemed to like it.
Personally i love shooting with Film, you're more involved in the entire process. Film forces you to take good shots and use your judgment rather then relying on electronics. You get the joy of rolling your own film, developing it, using a dark room, using advance developing techniques and tricks. That being said i use DSLR most of the time due to the fact Film can get very expensive and DSLR is a bit more reliable and i don't have to worry about carrying tons of film with me. Though i need to get some new lenses for my camera, the two i got are not cutting it anymore. Need a nice prime lens and maybe a macro lens.

Youd' get lot of views over devart. Even I got many of mine added to "picture of the month" albums and shit when I posted my shitty photography, so they have really low standards there. You'd be godliek.
Pentax MX with a 30mm lens.
I want a DSLR but I'm too poor :(
I want a DSLR but I'm too poor :(
I'll buy one for you, but you're gonna have to pay me full price plus an extra $200 (If you're in America) for getting one for you. Deal?
I've got a Canon 500D w/ 10-20mm lens Looking at buying 24-70mm next i'm really quite happy with it
Horribly blurry. Looks like you had too fast shutter speed.
yes usually very slow shutter speeds somehow make the photos sharp
