Oly E-520, the lens is some nobrand, but quite decent tube still.

Also why everybody is creaming over the 5D, but nobody talks about 1D Mark IV

They just know it's expensive, really good, and other people talk about it.
Most of the people in this forum who talk about it would have absolutely no use for such a high-end camera.
Getting the t2i this month, I wanted the cool 7D features packed into this camera, they call it a mini 7D, I'm limited on cash, so w/e 899 for t2i vs 1699 for 7D is good for me
Woh, what you gonna do with your t1i? You could get a good lens or two for that amount of money.
i have a canon slr for my photo class. It's really good, i prefer this to digital cameras because i feel like they're a little bit easier to use, it'll take a little while to get used to the whole shutter speed and F-stop thing though. I totally recommend it, and if you can, get yourself a digital SLR seeing as how you can see your photos after you take em.
Eh? You get shutter speeds and F-stops on digital SLRs too, you just switch the camera from 'Auto' to 'Manual' mode. I barely ever use auto-mode on my camera.
Sony A200 here, yo. Yes it's a DSLR not just an SLR, but it may as well be; I got a lens adapter and now primarily use the lens from a Zenit 12XP... I also have two of those 12XP beasts, back from when the USSR still existed:

See that? Fuckin' body made of tank metal.
They all take good photos anyway

...lol
I love my DSLR (Canon E1000D (Rebel XS in America, I think??)), and I've used it to take quite some nice shots.
Here's a quick bunch of examples:

But again, a DSLR, and if you require an SLR, then you obviously can't use that.

Nonono the Sony A200 I own is the DSLR, it's the camera I do everything on. I just OWN two of those Zenit bad-boys :v: I barely ever do stuff with film... I really should so some more.

Wow, those are just amazing. How much did that camera cost you?
I have a D60, I wish I get more opportunities to use it :(

4,250 danish kr ($770) by the time (25th August 2008).
Now it's 3,240 ($587), but I'm sure you could find it a lot less expensive in any other country, since Denmark is always so shitty on prices (car prices are for example 3 times as much in Denmark than the US)

Again, all done with my 1000D.
I've got a D40, and I love it. I've only got the kit lens currently, but I'm planning on getting the 35mm f/1.8 soon. I mainly use it for my outings exploring abandoned buildings to do long exposures.
So that means I can't ge that ghostly picture with my slr?
You can get anything with photoshop and raping some ugly HDR

Rollover'ing the camera sale to buy the t2i, planning to get a good lens later this year.

What lenses do you have for it?
2 35mm SLRs, My Canon T50 that was a christmas present and a Minolta X370 that needs to be sent to the camera repairman because the shutter's sticky. :argh:
Unfortunately, FD / MD lenses are kind of difficult to find for cheap. :c
What lenses do you have for it?
A completely standard kit 18-55. And for the eye, I used a cheap ass filter from dealextreme that I just attached to my kit lens.
