Goodbye Lenin, wasn't that a german producer? Also "Das Leben der Anderen" like already mentioned. Although I hate that movie, it's indeed intresting if you are into this whole stuff.
ones where hitler is in them
The Edukators. It's one of the best films I've seen in ages. Very cool plot too.
Das Boot. Saw it in my german class, instant classic

Das Weisse Band(The White Ribbon) - Great movie, recently came out. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it.
Das Weisse Band(The White Ribbon) - Great movie, recently came out. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it.
That's what the title was. Won an award, too.

I can say for myself, there are only a hand full of good German movies. I disliked quite every production in Germany here so far besides a few which got already posted here. Also: What genre do you like? Similar to the one posted in your topic? Or abitrary? I personally also liked "Das Wunder von Bern" which covers an historical football event.
Amundsen der Penguin
I don't remember the name, but the story is where they have people apply and they choose the "convicts" and police and put them in a these roles and towards the end the people playing the roles of the cops become to into the role and beat the people playing the convicts...can't remember it. but it was german.
That would be Das Experiment.
These are all the good german movies I've seen lately and have all been named in this thread but just to sum it up: Goodbye Lenin (yes, it's German) Der Untergang Das Experiment (The movie Douchebags meant earlier in this thread) Das Leben der Anderen Lola Rennt
Basically this, and maybe Die Welle.
I saw the movie "North Face" a couple of weeks ago. It was actually quite good.
DO see:

Das Boot
Das Leben die Anderen
Der Untergang
I know you have already seen two of these, but I will still mention them because they are really good. ----- DO NOT see:

Die Blecktrommel
Goodbye, Lenin
Lola Rennt
Sophie Scholl
Disturbing, whatever, crap, zzz. Many people seem to recommend these. I say "Stay away!". They all suck. ----- NOT SURE if see:

Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari
Metropolis
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens
These are classics, but they are all silent movies. See them if you think you can stand it. Hardly worthwhile if that stuff ain't your thing though. Or you could just force your way through them for cultural benefits. ----- I've seen alot of German movies, but my head is really blank at the moment.
Dead snow, it has zombies 'n shit.
