thats what conna said, P.S. bring him back
what. explain.
I know about the rube-goldberg effect in the series, but some of it didn't look entirely realistic.
Well this movie teaches us, to try and stay alive as much as we can. And not be afraid of death. Even if it tries too. But this seems like a splatterfest of fun, and just teaches us more then just stupid fun with splitting heads off. And many bodyparts, such.
Final Destination and Final Destination 2 are the only ones worth watching, seeing as how they're directly linked to each other.
Yeah, because The Final Destination wasn't a confusing and stupid title at all.
It's not. You'd have to be quite stupid to not understand such a simple title.
Gah, I never got the pleasure in seeing people be gruesomely killed.
It was fucking awful.
I've only seen the first one and I loved it. But what annoys me is the title, what's wrong with numbers? Final Destination Final Destination 2 Final Destination 3 The Final Destination
I just want a scene where a guys head get's decapitated at the end of the line on a bus and death comes out and says, "Looks like you arrived at your, hehe final destination"
And this is the type of person who enjoys poorly written gore-fests with no original plot.
Yeah so. The movie was so bad it was hilarious. (Like most movies recently)
I love how in two of the movies someone gets killed by a car motor and gets ran over by a bus lol.
they all sucked.
Having finally seen this movie, I have to agree with the OP. By its own merits, it's a meh movie. As a sequel, it's just bad. Let's start by correcting one of my previous posts:
Either you've never seen the previous movies or you've just forgotten that a lot of the deaths earlier bore resemblance to Rube Goldberg Machine-esque setups.
Now, the Rube Goldberg vibe is present once again, but the problem with this installment is that they overdid it. Many of the sequences of events that lead to somebody getting killed are so complicated that even when looking back at the previous films, they're too much. A moment that stood out for me is the last RG setup, which is completely absurd. It's overly complicated and my 'BUUULLLLSHIIIIITT' meter went through the roof. The aforementioned special effects are also indeed far from stellar. They seemed to love CGI effects and it's painfully clear. They have been really cheap on this movie, because [sp]even the blood that came blasting out when Hunt got his intestines sucked into the pool was horribly done[/sp]. I had to laugh in particular at [sp]the scene in which Bobby accidentally triggers the rivet-thing which in turn nails him to the wall. The prosthetic that they used was laughable, with a very notable different skin tone[/sp]. I had to laugh even harder when [sp]in the final premonition, his girlfriend got sucked into the escalator[/sp]. Seeing as FD is pretty graphic usually with its deaths, this one is so BAD! You don't see anything insanely graphic, it's so painfully obvious that dummies were used, it's almost infuriating! But then there's the acting. Oh, boy, the acting. FD has never been renowned for its cast, but this one tops the cake. It's like they sucked out all the emotion that they had. And there's more then one count- sorry, more then at least 10 counts of atrocious acting. Something I still want to add here, is the stylebreaking. Those of you familiar with the series know how it works. You see the titles and then the movie gets going. You know what happens here? You first get 'a blabla production' and all that shit. Then it suddenly cuts to the movie. After the accident, [sp]somebody dies[/sp] and bam! Title and all the other bullshit that was meant to start earlier. Sorry if you think this is nitpicking, but I don't want 20 seconds of titles only to have the rest of them 5 minutes later! Not to mention the shameless and poorly executed link to the most memorable death from the first movie! However, the ending was a letdown, a HUGE one. [sp]Bobby, Lori and Janet have survived and are sitting in a cafe. Bobby starts noticing some stuff connected to the earlier deaths, like a picture of the pool where Hunt was killed and the snakes thing on the ambulance with George. Bobby then grasps, out of nowhere, that the entire design was for them to survive it, think they've cheated it. And then a scaffolding falls over, causing a truck to steer into the cafe, into their seats. And again, it's not even shown graphically, they just show the stupid X-ray like things which were nice for the opening titles, but why the fuck would you do that in the end? FD3 had an ending that was possibly even worse and you're showing that, but not this?[/sp] Now, I am a fan of the series, so maybe I'm just a bit nerdy on some parts. If you haven't seen any of the previous movies and you're simply looking for some simple entertainment, then you may like it. If you've seen the previous movies and liked them, then please don't go see this one.
