bit of a conflict there. unless you mean the 3D was good.
what does that have to do with this thread?
Nevermind, I thought we were talking about bad 3D additions to movies, not movies being entirely 3D.
The Yellow Submarine remake is going to be in 3D I think, and that's going to be fucking awesome.

This.
It's too bad when people see a movie with shit 3D and then just assume that all 3D is the same shit and refuse to see it again. I really enjoyed watching Avatar in 3D, and like I said before, I can't wait to see more movies that way. But hey, that's just me. But the point still stands that all 3D isn't the same.
Yes but it has been improved vastly, both in ability to produce and present.
Very few theaters were capable of showing 3D movies when it first came out, now its practically a given.
I think 3D will be here to stay when they learn to accommodate people who wear glasses normally, and people who have a head larger than an infant's.
I don't believe I'll ever enjoy a 3D movie unless my head shrinks several sizes.
I have a Lazy Eye. So 3-D DOESN'T FUCKING WORK.
Nevermind, I thought we were talking about bad 3D additions to movies, not movies being entirely 3D.
3D additions? You seem to be confusing 3D with CGI effects. Day after Tomorrow had no 3D.
Avatar and How to Train Your Dragon did 3D correctly. When I watched Clash of Titan in 3D, it was pure shit.
I think it's really gimmicky, and absolutely annoying.
I thought the 3D in How to Train your Dragon looked great, it all depends on how they make it 3D and if the movie is suitable for 3D. Action movies are not good for it because everything moves too fast.
So like, normal screens can't produce 3d that works with these glasses? Anyone wanny dumb this technology down so I could understand it?
it looks cool in 3d though. second you must have terrible theaters cause mine has both 3d and 2d versions on the movie
I didn't really get the 3D experience when I watched Avatar even though I went to the largest and probably the most expensive cinema in my city to see it. When I tried to notice it, all it gave me was a headache.
it looks cool in 3d though. second you must have terrible theaters cause mine has both 3d and 2d versions on the movie
At first I thought you were trying to say that it could display 2d and 3d one the same screen, but then I realized you were just late.
Avatar was a pretty bad movie but visually it was amazing
We Want, Moar MONEY!
Personally I loved the 3D in Avatar. Im not a fanboy or anything but I enjoyed the movie and thought the effects were great. Then I went and saw Clash of the Titans, I almost vomited for spending an extra $2 for no result whatsoever. Did they use different 3D techniques? And when some things on tv will be 3D will they be that bad?
3D additions? You seem to be confusing 3D with CGI effects. Day after Tomorrow had no 3D.
Well, technically the CGI was 3D.
Nothing is wrong with 3D to me, but I'm sick of the fucking glasses I have to wear for the whole movie.

No glasses = no 3D
I saw Avatar in 3D.
My eyes did hurt, and I had to take breaks. Almost everything was hard to focus on, background was blurred, subtitles was a pain to read.
Not wasting my fucking money again. I'll stick to my 52" and Blu-rays, DTS Master and Dolby TrueHD.
If your home theater can compete with a real theater on every count but 3D your local theatres suck.
They seem to use "3D" as a byword for "no plot, but cool effects when you wear the special glasses".
what about Up?
Toy Story 1/2?
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs?
It's kinda stupid, I mean, you just see certain things closer, and your head hurts.
The point is that there is no point comparing anaglyph 3D (spy kids 3D) to polarization 3D.
my point was just that polarization is not new...
It's kinda stupid, I mean, you just see certain things closer, and your head hurts.
it appears you have a side effect of 3D, as my head does not hurt.
Up looked good in 3D. :colbert:
Note my tactical use of the phrase "I've seen"
Went this summer with my family, i jumped like a little girl.
the A Bug's Life thing in California Adventure is better, being newer and Pixar affiliated and all. I THINK it's 3D anyway haven't been in 2 years
[editline]12:03PM[/editline]
Note my tactical use of the phrase "I've seen"
well with Up it was mostly like looking through a window most of the time, or a more appropriate term, a stage.
So like, normal screens can't produce 3d that works with these glasses? Anyone wanny dumb this technology down so I could understand it?
Some of the light is sideways.
It gets annoying. I just want to watch a movie, with out having to put on these shit glasses.
Even thought it does look good, it's a pain wearing the glasses, and hurts the eyes after a while.
