I'm an expert in variety in music? :v:
You can be.
Wrong. You are all experts and you know you are as capable as me. :smug:
That's deep, man.
I quite enjoyed Microsound. Not so much the music itself but the imagery implanted in my head. Robo factory orweillian dystopia. Where the sentient robots are supervisors, managers and the greasy, working machines, black with wear and grime, are the proletriat. Then...A REVOLUTION! The proletriat are SENTIENT, in fear the former Elite formulate plans in their clean white rooms, culminating in the deepening of the music. The world just became three billion shades of grey.
I don't think Im ready to start even comprehending Musique Concrete and Noise music. Though I'm not too keen on the noise music part.
It's not that harsh. It's quite pretty actually :3: [editline]4th June 2011[/editline] okay, I'm lying but still!
I like doing these imagery posts so here's another one: For IDM-Autechre-Treale: An alien Rainforest. The dominant shades are dark blues in the depths and brighter blues and greens in the canopies. The innocent younglings of some alien bird species revel and flit about in the light of a small sunlit clearing while in the darkness the evils of life watch upon them. Reminds me a lot of Earthbound's darker music tracks.

Can someone explain to me the method behind Merzbows madness. It's like he heard "Metal Machine Music" and thought it was "Pet Sounds".
Can someone explain to me the method behind Merzbows madness. It's like he heard "Metal Machine Music" and thought it was "Pet Sounds".
People go into trances with his music. That's all that can be said :v:
People go into trances with his music. That's all that can be said :v:
So he makes music to trip out on?
Did you think it was supposed to be "Background music" at a dinner party or what? :v:
put hanatarash as noise music this would fit perfectly
put hanatarash as noise music this would fit perfectly
Do you enjoy it?
Do you enjoy it?
i guess
I was expecting glaring inaccuracies (which usually show up when someone tries to compile something from every genre, it's understandable) like Slipknot showing up when I clicked on the black metal link, but imagine my surprise when Burzum came out instead Nice list OP, I enjoyed it but where is the psychobilly

It's a lot harsher and tougher than any Merzbow.

I'm not trying to be a dick, of course AKz won't be able to compile a perfect challenge, so make your own! It would be pretty cool to see what other peoples come up with when they think of genres of music.
Describe the thrill you get out of that type of noise. If there's another one made, add jazz fusion. John Coltrane isn't that avant-garde. Real men listen to Albert Ayler or Eric Dolphy or the Art Ensemble of Chicago [editline]4th June 2011[/editline] or no Anthony Braxton is the real shit
John Coltrane isn't that avant-garde.
His later years. Also the jazz world of Avant Garde is pretty much endless with content. If people want to look further into it, I think Coltrane does a good balance.
Would you kill to see this or what?
Sounds like he is using sounds of fapping as a background sound
Fix that browser. :v:
It happened after I got to however far that was. Apparently opening 30 or so youtube videos isn't a good idea. [editline]5th June 2011[/editline] I refreshed the page and it was fine though.
