I wish the American Green party was a little less progressive and a little more pragmatic
then they wouldn't be a green party
Wow.. I'm from Europe and just by looking at your politics and who you are going to vote for I just have to say this.. Do suffer from alzheimers? Seriously? Obama again? Do you not remember what he has done, or should I say, what he hasn't done. The guy barely kept any of his promises, sure he did some good like giving you some basic healthcare. But all in all, he's just like Bush. Stop breaking your country and do some research before you vote. [sp]romney is shit too[/sp]
Either way israel is going to announce a redline on iran anyday now and attack which will lead to iran attacking our ships with whatever soviet/chinese counter theyve bought, That aside, when putin supports obama, you know we have a problem [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] Go twigster, you like me have taken a goverment class befor!
Which would result in us warring with Iran which would result in us wiping them out. Biggest reason why he can't uphold all of them is because the Republicans are cock blocking him.
then they wouldn't be a green party
Well then what would they be, cause I'd probably vote for that.
I figured this might be relevant to the thread. Political Compass chart of the 2012 election Test for finding out your position on the chart I find it funny that almost all the charts on politicalcompass.org have placed Rocky Anderson and Barack Obama on the right, though. Out of curiosity I took the test with Obama's positions and I got about 1 square libertarian and 1 square to the left of the center line.
What do you guys think of the Libya and Egypt things going on? Will it affect polls?
romney shot himself in the foot and does not know how to handle a international crisis properly without looking like a massive idiot
I don't think he needs to botch an international crisis to look like a massive idiot.
I think republicans are shooting all their feet right now, sadly.
I don't think he needs to botch an international crisis to look like a massive idiot.
To the general public he does. Today, I was listening to the radio on the way to work. It was Peter Boyles. People are still bitching about how Obama is supposedly Islamic. I'm sorry, but how is this bad? How many people believe that Obama is bad because he's (still supposedly) Islamic, and that all people who support Islam are suddenly terrorists? Too many, I fear.
He's not kept 48% of his promises and had to compromise 14% of them. hurr.
He had 2 years to do what he wanted without much of anyone stopping him. Now the house is in a complete deadlock and it might end up like that again this cycle. Nothing moves if the house or senate cant get off their asses and do shit. This isnt he can do what the fuck he wants to because he is in power, he has to work with everyone else and the way republicans have been going, they would rather listen to a pile of shit than him.

I can't wait till this election is over with. It's such a joke. Both the candidates suck. No body has any real reason to vote for any of them. People vote for Romney because he's Republican and not Obama, and people vote for Obama because Paul Ryan is fucking terrifying. It seems that no one actually knows what any of their policies are. I'm not sure who I'm actually voting for. Paul Ryan is scary, and I fear he's going to control Romney just like Cheney did to Bush. But Ryan and Romney might actually help our economy, and I'm interested to see how the small business thing plays out. It didn't work out before, but I feel maybe we didn't give it enough time and effort. Although, that whole raising the middle class taxes thing was bull shit, he's still doing a tax cut for the top 1%, which is a fucking joke. Obama and Biden are the type of people who would be good presidents during a good economy. which obviously isn't the case. I don't see us going any where with Obama, but thats exactly why I'm considering voting for him. With obama we might just stand still, but with Romney we might go back like 50 years if all goes wrong. Right now, though, our foreign policies are kind of a fucking joke, and that shit going on with our embassies aren't helping. I just don't know.
Obama would have more success if the republicans didn't literally try to tear down everything he's tried to prop up.

Nothing gets done.

Romney 2016
And that is why both the main parties are utter failures. Nothing gets done.
No shit. Obama is just less of a massive cock than Romney.
He's not kept 48% of his promises and had to compromise 14% of them. hurr.
22 % are also in in the works. He has been blocked by Republicans on nearly every issue and it is a miracle he has gotten this far. If you are not American and do not know anything about American politics, stop posting.
If you are not American and do not know anything about American politics, stop posting.
So what? What happens in America echoes into Europe, and I live in Europe. I follow the American elections, like most people who are interested in politics. I could say the same to you and say "If you don't have the right to vote, which you dont, and do not know anything about politics, stop posting". [editline]13th September 2012[/editline]
No shit. Obama is just less of a massive cock than Romney.
Yes he is better than Romney, but not by a lot and there are better candidates than Obama, like Gary Johnson.

538 now has Obama's chances at 74%. Do you think it is that likely that Obama will win? I think his chances are lower because of Democrats voting less than Republicans, and Voter ID laws keeping many transexual and black people from voting.
I wasn't aware Gary Johnson was still running. Like, I really do want to vote, but I despise both Obama and Romney for different reasons. I know my vote won't do anything because Gary Johnson has no hope of ever winning, but I'd rather not have my first vote be on someone I don't even support.

I know he's screwed up quite a few things, but Romney is pretty much a mad dog.
