I voted. I live in Tejas *texas*, and this state swings red, so my vote doesn't really do anything with the way our voting system is set up (electoral college) and how its possible for someone to win without the majority vote (see 2000 election) made the whole experience unsatisfying. I left with the thought of "we drop bombs on others countries to install this bull shit, and we tout this about as if this is the new version of sliced bread" Maybe im too cynical towards out political system.
Romney 2012, since no one else on here will do it
So edgy.
Maybe im too cynical towards out political system.
Nonsense; you harbour too little.
Rmoney is lord of the spiders and will poison our waters with them if elected. He told me so.
Fuck, it's too late to register in NY? Oh well. I would have voted Obama anyway, and voting Romney wouldn't have changed anything in the state. This is still a vaguely interesting election, though. I honestly don't see how Romney could win (electoral wise).
If all the electorates were killed by his spider army.
https://www.google.com/elections/ed/us/vote
It doesn't work.
I voted for Gary Johnson. In hindsight, I should have voted for Ron Paul. At least I didn't vote for either Romney or Obama. That way, when the country fucks up, I can blame it on the president that I never voted for.

It lends legitimacy to a fig leaf for an inherently illegitimate institution, and it is a waste of a trip.
lmao voting for ron paul
Not if you vote absentee 8)
The only way I would submit an absentee ballot is if I shit on it.
Ron Paul invented goat's milk!
why the fuck does anyone vote for a third party they won't win, it basically just detracts from the less extreme of your opinions, they're like leeches of the main two parties. that's part of the reason gore lost to bush is because people voted for the green position. the problem is it's like the chicken and the egg, you can't vote for them until people vote for them so you can't vote for them until they do so it's not wasted
Why the fuck does anyone vote anyway? Imagine if they threw an election and no one voted.

And they don't win because the electoral system we have ensures they won't win or even begin to do so. Don't direct your indignation at organizations trying to change a broken system.

And then it kind of lays bare the faults of the electoral & two-party systems.

That way, they can still achieve some kind of electoral support but not compromise the election. Even still, Nader cannot be blamed for Bush's victory, rather Gore should be blamed for his failure to cater to enough voters and the court for not doing the recount.
I'd probably be voting for Gary Johnson if I didn't live in Colorado. Even my dad said that wouldn't be a bad idea if we lived in a guaranteed Democratic state, but Colorado can swing either way.

Rosanne 1 Rmoney 0
The Libertarian platform is crazy in some areas (mostly economic), though.
I live in northern New Jersey, so basically if you like Mitt Romney everyone thinks you're crazy. Although I have spotted some Romney/Ryan bumper stickers and lawn signs... Just goes to show how far you can get with claiming to know how to solve every problem there is.
Kickass, confirmed today that I'm going into school overnight to watch the election
Haha wow Roseanne Barr is out of her gourd.
Especially here in California, I can vote for Stein or Anderson without worrying about Obama losing. [editline]2nd November 2012[/editline] The phrase living space comes to mind too.
Zionists honestly share a lot of traits with nazis.
I mean, Zionism is a pretty broad descriptor. I'm a Zionist and so is Avigdor Lieberman and I think he's one of the worst people in politics I've ever seen. So there's that, but also her statements on wars of aggression etc. in the region are 100% historically inaccurate, which is problematic for anyone who wants to be dictating American foreign policy (one of the same reasons Romney is terrifying). She really goes off the deep end with the kabbalistic reincarnation stuff at the end. I don't know that much about kabbalah but I'm pretty sure it's not this:
We are hundreds and hundreds and thousands of millions. We are the women who vowed at Sinai to defeat the beast in the age of Aquarius, and it is written in the future that we did so, as it was written in the past. We are the programmers. We ourselves!!! Women are never reincarnated as men. Only men are reincarnated as women. Being a woman is your last life. This is written in the kaballah. Men are always men until they evolve into being women. This they can do by merely serving the mother in them.
Rosanne does this shit all the time. I honestly think that she ran as a social experiment. It's fucking Rosanne, she's been doing this shit for 25 years.
Probably because people don't like voting for a candidate they disagree with? In my current class they said that the only purpose of third parties was to "bring attention to things".
