United States Presidential Election 2012 MEGATHREAD

I just got back from the polling stations, and it wasn't quite the action-packed thrill ride I had imagined. On the driveway to the memorial hall, where the polling stations were located, I noticed that the signs for the Democratic candidates had been knocked over.
Outside the station, some old dude was standing by the door with a bright orange sign that read, "SUPPORT FREEDOM, DESTROY OBAMA."
Opening the memorial hall's door, I was shunted aside by two of the most grossly overweight women I've ever seen in my entire goddamn life, who were in a heated discussion about the various ways in which they would prepare for the end-times given "Oshitma's" reelection. Inside, the pleasantries kept on rolling.
I'm beginning to think that 538 might be right about Missouri going to Romney!
Question: is it ok to take a photo of your ballot after its been filled out?

I wrote myself in.

I didn't see any of the debates, they were probably aired at some time here but was it anything like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YOh-rpvjYg
are there any votes being reported yet or do i have to wait for polls to start closing at 6pm to see any of that
are there any votes being reported yet or do i have to wait for polls to start closing at 6pm to see any of that
in 3 hours the first polls end
why did I think that for some reason you could see votes as they were happening? maybe because four years ago and beyond i didn't really pay attention to politics/voting

some states don't allow it. Sneak a picture if you REALLY think staff is out to get you, otherwise just tell staff there's an issue with your ballot/voting machine (like in the instance of that earlier video). Often it's just an innocent(???) error on the machine and it may work fine if you restart the process or use another machine.

First time voter here
I really hope the worst presidential candidate we have had in a long time loses tonight. Seems likely.
The results will be revealed in the middle of the night in my time zone, but my school is holding a night together (in school) where people will watch the voting :v:
I'm hoping my fever dream comes true and Georgia goes blue.
Voted for the first time. I thought it was going to be a quick 5 minutes but I was there for over an hour. Apparently this is the first time that voting here has been long. It was very hot in the building too and there were little kids playing directly behind me the whole time so I'm glad to be out of there.
And most people were dead silent. I was hoping it'd be talkative because when it's dead silent I think any movement I make will set off a bomb or something.

BDA, five3eight's probably right on Missouri
voting was pretty fun
Turned 18 at the end of September, so I voted for the first time by voting for Obama and voting against the two controversial-as-fuck amendments here in Minnesota.
I did something today!

I'll buy a round of drinks for ya if it turns
also florida just turned from neutral yellow on the map (538 again) to light blue, with 50.3% chance of obama

ohio and wisconsin are 90.6% and 96.7% now, romney had to win all three of those states for even a chance
and for BDA, MO is at 99.6%

you live in georgia too
i almost didn't vote just because i knew it wouldn't matter but something drove me to do it anyway

maybe its the fresh baked smell of motherfucking democracy or whatever
I voted earlier. I wish for once Oklahoma would go blue, but it's always been a heavily red state.
If Obama ran for Prime Minister in Australia he would get voted straight away. We all love him here.
That's okay, we're likely to keep McCaskill as our senator (Todd Akin committed career suicide with those comments he made on rape, haha)--ditto a democrat for Governor and whatnot. So at least we'll still contribute something!
ref, here is that photo I was talking about that I took
