United States Presidential Election 2012 MEGATHREAD

Voted today and when I did, the lady behind the table asked "Are you a first time voter?" to which I replied yes. After I said that, she yelled "We got a first time voter here!" and all of the people in the gym I was voting in started to clap. Felt really cool and embarrassing at the same time, heh.
I also asked one of the ladies volunteering there if they had a lot of first time voters and she said "Oh yeah! We've had about 15 today!" I was kinda shocked considering it was 5pm when I voted and voting closes at 8pm. Do younger people not vote as much as older people do?
Makes sense...

Hand me some clocks!
I have the grim feeling that this will end up resembling the "corrupt bargain" incident of the early 19th century.
We all know it is probably going to be close, and if neither candidate gets 270, then it goes to the house of reps.
[sp]And we all know who has majority in house of reps.[/sp]
gonna post this here to show a rough estimate of who'll be turning what color

at the moment apparently south carolina is wrecking at 75% of current tally in favor of obama somehow.
FL is turning blue
Vermont has finally started counting, but still shows a check for obama, west virginia still at zero percent showing a check for romney
also the electoral vote counts are all null at the moment, these states haven't finalized even a fraction of their tallies yet
oop ticker hit 12-24 though
Wait for the ballots to come in. You're counting your chickens before they hatch.
There's no way obama will win SC of all states.
Yeah, but that map is based off polls. The system Nate Silver used was good, but it wasn't flawless.
Well, it was very accurate in the other elections. No model is perfect but that's not a reason to discount it entirely.
I use this site: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/vote2012/map/all_results.html#map_view=us_all , you all think its updated as much as the other site i see the other clippings from?
Ohio's starting to roll in.
bam motherfuckers, Massachusetts is won by Obama less than a minute after polls closed
not surprised

get off those crappy sites and onto google http://www.google.com/elections
California's got the most electoral votes (55!) and Obama's probably going to win them all

My swing states combo for Obongo
If "toss-coin" Florida goes Blue: Ohio+Florida
If Florida goes Red: Ohio+Nevada+Wisconsin

My advanced needle system is pointing towards Obama.

Not sure how accurate this is but it's worth a look at. It seems like the stakes are highest in Florida.
