That's why it will never happen. Bringing everybody to one level makes everyone poor as fuck. I find how it is now much better. 30% poor in russia? Well, that's bad, but better then 100% poor. And let's not act innocent, we all know that every country whatever it does is led by mass murderers.
it makes them 'poor as fuck'? where is the logic behind this? the USSR was made poor because of a war machine it could not keep together, an industrial nightmare and massive corruption. and oh im sorry i didnt realise obama ordered the public execution of thousands

I would try to rise above at any cost.
Really, the only mass murderer out of the lot of soviet leaders was Stalin.
the gloating about the results of the election is just as annoying as the whining about the results of the election just throwing that out there
I voted romney but truth is, I don't care too much. South dakota only has 3 damn electorals, and seems to be pretty immune to presidents, good or bad.

Huh... It was planned all along.
I am concerned for my nation, and for our constitution.
I am concerned for my nation, and for our constitution.
Neither party seems to read that until they're looking for a way to get rid of something, honestly.
Facepunch is overwhelming liberal, so the poll here comes as no surprise. I voted for Gary Johnson, though if I lived in a battleground state, I would have voted for Romney. Hopefully the RNC realizes that forcing RINOs like Mitt Romney, John McCain, and Bob Dole on us ISN'T working. We need to move much further to the (economic) right and choose a real conservative candidate in 2016.
Really, the only mass murderer out of the lot of soviet leaders was Stalin.
And Lenin and to a lesser extent Brezhnev.

Really, the actual Republican idea, as in, the original idea behind the party isn't a bad one. It's just that a bunch of Tea Party conservatives started jumping in an mutated it into something horrible.
I wouldn't mind economic far right as long as they were more centrist (mid-left by American standards) on social policies.
I absolutely agree with you here. We need to drop the whole evangelical nonsense, that does nothing but make us look bad. Though I also think people blow gay marriage and abortion way out of proportions, there is absolutely no reason these should be major issues.
Though I also think people blow gay marriage and abortion way out of proportions, there is absolutely no reason these should be major issues.
They wouldn't be if it was just passed forward and we moved on. However, there is a surprising amount of resistance which makes many of us frustrated.
There wouldn't be if it was just passed forward and we moved on. Wade is still controversial, after nearly half a century.
Even if every state legalized it right now, it would still be controversial. Look at how Roe v. Wade is still controversial, after nearly half a century.
Yea, because people keep resisting it with such fervor.
And Lenin and to a lesser extent Brezhnev.
To a much much lower extent though.
Dude, having a "RINO" is the only thing that got you close to winning in the first place.
Yeah, Romney's absolute best polling (which put him in reach of victory for a while) came directly after he sprinted for the center in the first debate.
Dude, having a "RINO" is the only thing that got you close to winning in the first place.
Unlikely. This was a turn-out election and turn-out was low, especially for conservatives. A lot of conservatives didn't buy into Romney and neither did independents. People saw right through Romney's lies and his pretending to be conservative. It also didn't help that Gary Johnson, Virgil Goode, and the Ron Paul write-ins split the ticket. We still have twice as many conservatives in this country than liberals, and that isn't going to change.
The Republican Party has been pretty stupid for over a decade.
I know that. It's been downright moronic. That's why I said the 'original' idea behind the party. But then again that was just Abe Lincoln.
A lot of conservatives didn't buy into Romney and neither did independents. People saw right through Romney's lies and his pretending to be conservative.
A lot of everyone didn't buy what he said, he was trying to appeal to everyone at once and came across as not actually having any opinions on anything other than cutting taxes and spending, with no real plans on how he'd do that, either.
Good Morning, I check and yes impastick has added me as a friend. I have gifted him GTA IV Complete.
As an European I didn't got much into the internal policies of both Obama or Romney. However Romney did really scare me. I was kinda "praying" that he didn't win. No offence to the ones who voted in Romney here. So, the reasons why the guy gave us the creeps is that, right now Europe is fighting against Free Markets. We are currently working very hard to discipline the wanna be "free markets" so we can really get out of this situation that the US crisis brought us. Romney didn't have a plan for Europe or the world. Romney actually sounded like he despised Europe, like we're some backwater communist/socialist continent when we're not. Then he wanted to liberalize the markets which would doom all our efforts in trying to balance our economy. And I personally think that was the main cause of Romney's downfall during the elections. Well, that and the religious conservative maniacs around him. What is scary though is how the hell someone like Romney gathered so much votes in a western civilized country such as the USA. Would he be running for presidency in Europe, he would just be eaten alive by both the people and the press. I mean, we have our own idiots in politics around here, but God damn did Romney redefined stupidity.
