Same friend I've complained about in the past just spammed me to play Civ 5. When I told him I'm working on a paper he continues to harass me, "Just write it while you're playing, easy". I'm having a hard enough time finishing up this paper for as easy as it is, just because I have horrible concentration when distracted.
On another note - really hoping when I go back to Ohio that I can get into my field. My older brother said he'd help me find a job, but I'm not sure if that means in the field. He's the manager of the IT part of the company he works for, so his word has some sway.
Regardless I'll start applying and see what I can snag.

also networking is super useful in any field since a lot of companies hire internally before resorting to showing off "hey we have a spot open" so your brother is throwing you some gold rope

look at it this way: its experience. if things dont work out, you have experience to help you get further in the field due to brother. and maybe you'll make connections at his place. never know
