i had a ton of fun with the alpha but the beta made me realize this isn't the game i waited 10 years for
Damn computer bluescreened while I was working on something I was hoping to have printed out tonight. Something about ataport.sys and a KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, so I think my Caviar Green's going. It's been running slow for a while.
I think it's time to pick up a SSD on Newegg tonight and throw Win10 on it. Anyone have any suggestions for a sub-$90 drive?

i won't say i expected a ton from it but i was very very excited by it if only because of how long i've waited for a new battlefront game, BF2 being one of my most cherished games of all time
it's a very fun game, it's also probably the most immersed i've felt in a star wars game that wasn't an rpg
it's just missing a lot of the things i wanted it to have
it's gonna be a good game, i'm just not a fan of competitive multiplayer and it's not the game for me
i have a very good chance to get a 40k/year (starting) job in Wisconsin and also to move in with my best friend of 8 years who's like a brother to me and his fiancee
but ive made 2 incredible friends this semester at school and when i told them the news they tried to be strong and support me but they started crying and then i started crying and i realized im not sure im ready to make the decision between a job and my friends
the rational side of me knows a good job with my foot in the door at a great company trumps just about any friendship. but these people matter so much to me and i matter to them and im crying so much right now
i still have risk of rain in my library cause i was gonna play it with a friend
that was until they deleted me cause they thought me saying "go to bed" was me saying i wanted to sleep with them

i think they made a mistake only putting in the drop zone mode and a single map extra into the beta
but yeah the accuracy and stuff is really off-putting but again i generally avoid competitive multiplayer so i can't really vouch for anything gameplay-wise
for me it just came down to it being a very different game to battlefront/2 (this is [I]not[/I] a bad thing objectively, which is why i'm stressing that i still think it'll be a good game) and the fact that there's essentially only one single player/coop mode
i actually like a lot of the gameplay mechanics, i think if they didn't want to go the route of classes then the cards are a really neat way to do it, i also kinda like that the heros are pickups spawned randomly
i think more people will come around when the full game is out and all the modes and maps are available, it's just not my cup of tea personally
i've decided to continue my studies and go into computer science
i hope its a good choice for me
i'm not gonna shit-talk the game or anything if only because there's people who care a lot less than i do who will do a lot more shit-talking than i would ever care to
yeah, I'm not all that interested in BattleFront, I might wait for it when it goes on sale.
