Also they paint the ex-wife's boy friend as a total dick and even crush him horrifically but like, he watched a Security Guard get crushed right before his eyes and staggered off shell-shocked. I mean, yeah he shouldn't have left the daughter behind but he was kinda traumatized. Being a dick to that guy hiding behind the building was shitty too, but I dunno. It's not like he was too cartoonishly evil like in other movies. Just scared and suffering from some PTSD or some shit.

I could be wrong. I was under the impression from what I saw during the 2011 Tsunami that generally the Tsunami wave isn't really perceivable on the water until it hits land. You know, aside from the shore receding that is. And from what I'm reading about that Tsunami is it traveled up land to that height. Not that the wave was actually that high, like in the Perfect Storm or something. It always seemed to me that tsunami's are so bad not because of how big the 'wave' is but generally just the volume, pressure and speed of the wall of water traveling inland.
