I don't usually watch anime, but I'm not a hater of it, I did however, sit through and watch all the Elfen Lied episodes in one sitting yesterday.
Aside from the slight 'KAWAII DESU' moments now and then it was quite awesome. Ending was a bit sad though. I then read the final chapter of the manga as people were saying the 2 endings are different. It was different, but also sad.
Read the manga for a better ending and overall better everything about it.
Oh that reminds me, I need to watch that too.

You should, PLENTY of shit is different and plenty of sidestories make it worth the read.
And the ending had me shedding manly tears.
I didn't get the ending at first. Had to reread it a few times and refer to Wikipedia on what happened.
in bleach i think i noticed that ichigo's blanket is the finnish flag lol

I was on the brink of dropping a man tear or two during the anime, some of the deep shit really got to me.
Also, [sp]does Lucy/Nyu die in the end? I know she gets shot to shit and you see her horn get chipped off, but at the very end of the credits in the last episode of the anime you see a shadow outside the doors of the maple inn, and the dogs barking. I read a few comments where people went into detail about how the shadow outline didn't match Lucy so it couldn't have been her or other shit like it was some mirage kinda shit goin on[/sp]
