• The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle. I honestly don't know what to think.

there's a difference between subtle and bland cars like Audi's are subtle, take off the badging and you'd mistake it for a passat or something, but it still looks good and refined, that porsche is just bland.
While I agree that Audis are great looking cars (one of the only manufacturers these days making nice looking cars), I still like the look of that Porsche. It's all subjective.
I'd drive the shit out of a Beetle .:R
They could have done a lot better. This was supposed to enter production about the same time as the 993, but they canned it last minute.
That's about as entertaining to look at as milk.
Way better looking than the previous Beetle, it actually looks like the original Beetle now and not a stupid round thing
That's about as entertaining to look at as milk.
I disagree. I feel it retains more of the 911 look than the Panamera does; the Panamera looks like complete ass in comparison with the 997. If you take a look at the side profile, it genuinely looks like a 4 door 911.
Too bad cars from the 80s were ugly as well.
I disagree fully.
I like what the Quattro stands for with the AWD and what not, but I don't think it's all that good looking. If someone gave me one I'd drive the shit out of it though.
Nostalgic? Badass? An icon? Sure. Good looking?
Yes to all
Nostalgic? Badass? An icon? Sure. Good looking? Loads of people might disagree on that
You just cant say it's ugly. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] (I think it's the best car ever)
People hating on the look of the Audio Sport Quattro? This makes me hard. It should make you as aroused, too.
I didn't say it wasn't Bad ass as fuck, but I don't think it's a "Good" looking car. It's not bad to look at, but it's not exactly pretty. It's a cool as hell box though.
I know I'll get hated for this, but I've always liked the more boxy look of some vehicles, and that new van looks pretty nice in my eye. As far as the Beetle goes, I can see how some would say it is losing its uniqueness, but I also feel as if the designers have taken a step or two back in time. The longer front end especially reminds me of the Beetles of old.
I know I'll get hated for this, but I've always liked the more boxy look of some vehicles, and that new van looks pretty nice in my eye.
You won't get hated for that here. I also love boxy cars and the classic beetle is one of few exceptions
Certainly does have a Porsche look to it. Doesn't look as tall in height and short in length as it used to.
It stands to reason that it looks like a Porsche, every single Beetle ever made has a Porsche element to it, after all, the Porsche cars were designed based on the original Beetle design. As the original Beetle was in fact designed by Ferdinand Porsche. Also, I just love this new Beetle. But I love all the Beetles, especially my old '71 1302s
Not half as bad as the new VW van [img_thumb]http://server0.static.wa.supportingservices.dk/image/386479/2/0/620?164055b33be1ae9d2fc5941e1205bf1bd2d0a93b[/img_thumb]
"Hur hur slapping on the two tone style of an old VW van makes it look like one" Is Volkswagon retarded?
Nostalgic? Badass? An icon? Sure. Good looking? Loads of people might disagree on that
no 80's cars are fucking awesome. go climb out of the hole of disagreement you've dug yourself into and skulk in the corner.

Look at this regal silhouette: I do think that New Yorkers (I know that car isn't one) look good when placed in front of a forest with a light drizzle like on the ads. Oh, and the neat features that have gone away like the voices and neato-digital gauges.
Front end shot. [img_thumb]http://live.drjays.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Picture-35.png[/img_thumb]
Made me think of
Hahahahahaha! I'm so glad I drew that.
It should be an emote.
I should draw a smaller version of it. [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] lol bro

The newish ones are alright... Now I feel like they are losing their unique look.
did the old ones all have the engines sticking out the back? I thought that was just the baja bug. [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] also the people saying the 80's had bad cars, I personally think VW had it down with the scirocco [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] granted the scirocco was introduced in the 70's but the mk2 was in the 80's
Speaking of VDubs, I saw an 83 VW Rabbit Pickup on craigslist about a week ago that had a 1993 Golf TDI swapped in it.

As for literally "sticking out," that's mainly bajas and off-road Bugs.
yeah I knew they were all in the back..
