Every Rainbow Six game has had PvP with symmetrical teams. Also all of their marketing has been based around this 5v5 competitive multiplayer, so you can bet that it's the focus of the game. It's definitely inspired by CS:GO. Ubisoft lacks a game with a big MP draw, so this is supposed to be it for them. Even though they're throwing around references to Raven Shield and Rogue Spear, you should abandon all hope that this is going to be the old school tactical Rainbow Six that you want it to be. You'll just be setting yourself up for disappointment, especially since this is UBISOFT. I just hope that it can provide a fun semi-tactical mp experience that is half as good as the old games.
If it's the focus then that's a shame. I never heard of rainbow six being praised for it's PvP elements and this doesn't look any different, but i won't mind it as long as they add some good coop.
It seems kinda clunky to me.
I loved Rainbow six Raven shield and of course Vegas 2 and 1. After seeing the video, why is it always hard to go back to what it originally was?! I was pretty hyped when i first saw the trailer of Rainbow six siege, and even their destruction you can shoot through walls and stuff, looked awesome, like something new and fresh. Now comparing to it, i think it looks a bit fast paced game, as it do looks like CS:GO. I remember in vegas 2 when you use heavy armor you'll walk slower, it wasn't fast paced, you had a limit stamina, and could take cover behind walls and other objects. I remember in ravenshield that leaning behind doors/walls were also those things that you had to do. It also had great level designs like, penthouse/villa and probably a few more i don't remember, and also does vegas 2 and 1. The one with the casino, i really wont forget those. So, i have no idea i should buy it when it comes out. It looks not bad but, it doesn't really aims towards a bit like it was in ravenshield, or vegas. Maybe they'll perhaps improve it because it is still alpha?
It seems kinda clunky to me.
Probably because they're playing with controllers and no one seems to know what they're doing
This is definitely the type of game where you would want to play with friends and not with a bunch of strangers.
I hope the customization is good as RSV2
All of those RSV2 sounds :V
Well with Ubisoft disaster last year, I ponder what could go wrong.
What happened to the other game that was just like this, I swear a facepuncher was making it
I can't believe they're letting children play the alpha, wow Game itself looks pretty good, though there's no sign of ingame communication. Nothing too tactical.
Aren't friends and family usually able to get into alpha?
All of those RSV2 sounds :V
I know people use this excuse all the time, but this seems more like a "it's in alpha" thing than anything. I'm pretty sure they're just placeholders.
What happened to the other game that was just like this, I swear a facepuncher was making it
You mean Due Process? I completely forgot about that one
Oh Jesus, at the beginning when the player puts up a door barricade and his teammate immediately destroys it and puts up his own barricade. :v:
'Barricade +5'
What happened to the other game that was just like this, I swear a facepuncher was making it
Still working on it ;) We've had a couple blog posts and we're getting things ready for a bigger announcement. Aw there's no leaning in this game?
Aw there's no leaning in this game?
I thought there was leaning in Ubi's trailers?
is it worth getting Vegas.?
Aw there's no leaning in this game?
There is. The players look like they're probably playing it for the first time and probably don't know how to do it. Also most console players probably aren't used to input driven leaning
looks good might have to pick it up
no contextual cover system, thats cool
There was a live stream event for the alpha today, so lots of new footage now:
