Awesome thread inspired me, went out and purchased a soldering iron, I always get hot as fuck sitting at my computer desk, is it possible to make a USB powered switchable fan, I'm thinking attach the red and black cables from the usb to a rocker switch (Or would I need different one?) then attach to a little cooling fan? I need to get into this make your own shit thing :saddowns:

My brother ordered a new pair of Sennheiser CX300's when his old pair broke after about 3 years of usage. The new ones were broken on delivery (bad contact at the 3.5mm plug) so we reported it to the seller and they said they'd just send a new pair and not require the broken ones back. The tracking number for the new package shows them being left about 250 kilometres from where we live.
While waiting he started using the included pair of earbuds with his new phone and got really used to the playback controls and the mic in those so one day we went ahead and just did this to those and the broken cx300's.

Thanks to this thread, I have decided that when I save up enough money to finally build my own PC. I am going to create a custom tower for it with optimized cooling and filtered air. And I guarantee it will look pretty good.
