Evony is actually an alright game, although their methods of advertising are lame.
Pasting on pictures of pretty women that have nothing to do with the actual game is stupid, but at the same time smart because it draws in hordes of lonely men looking for RTS browser-based games to keep their minds off of the snatch that they could be getting by going outside and socializing.

Seems like nobody understands the point of browser games. It's like you all expect them to be something you'd pay 50-60 bucks for, and actually hope for it to be a "breakthrough" in technology that is "the new face of gaming."
They're quick games you can log onto generally for less than 30 minutes. They're usually for people bored at the office, or just something to do while waiting for a download or something.

Yea, i remember playing a space rts game (browser) when i was younger, but i kept getting roflpwned by alot of people.
I only click on them at school, out of boredom and a hope that some deadly virus will destroy the petty school network.

Text strategy? I used to play those as well. Evony's like that except it's a more physical environment. (And if the people around you are roflpwning you, you have this item that teleports your city somewhere else.)

You get those browser based text game formats fir free on internet, people slap their own name on it and change a few texts.
Browser based games are good if you are bored, a lot of people are bored. They made a lot of games to fit all bored demographics.
I have to say Runescape is the best browser based mmo. It sucks because of the community, but overall it's a good game to burn time playing.
