The way I see it is believing so strongly on something that you completely refuse to see the other side of things. It's refusal to even think, for one second, that anything other than what you believe is the truth. And with that definition, people can be closed minded about a lot of things. Like win the discussion we are having right now, I could see you as closed minded, and you could see me as closed minded. In the end it comes down to what side of the argument you support.

well, i'm pretty open-minded, if you give me some evidence of your claim i will believe you. but we both know there is no quantifiable evidence of ghosts/god/the supernatural. hence believing in it is illogical.

I'm pretty open minded also, I've considered the possibility that my opinions on the matter were wrong, but in the end I couldn't find a logical explanation as to what happened out at my friend's house. I've given you all the evidence I could give you, and you've gotten your opinions on it, so really there's nothing more to be said of this discussion (which was a really good discussion, if I may say). We each have our opinions on it, and neither of us can change the other's opinion, and we had reached an impass.

Flash was fired, Illuminating the scene, and then the lights in the distance caused that wavy light to appear because of the slow shutter speed. Similar to the technique to drawing with light

As a photographer I can tell you all this is fake as shit. the 3 second exposure pretty much means a torch or something was waved in front of the camera.

also as a counter to the '3 seconds was what the camera gave me', its shot at ISO 100, the lowest ISO speed on that camera. Maybe if it was jacked up to 800, but i digress.

Bbelieve me, I have already considered this. But the photos were taken in a forest, a mile away from my friend's house, which is on a country road. We looked for any lights in the distance and we didn't see any. We did find a few faint streetlights, but from the areas we took the pictures they would have been behind us.

I have never once said that there were ghosts in that picture. All I said was that there was "ghostlike phenomena", saying that there was something weird going on. I have tried for a logical explanation but haven't found one yet, so I'm still looking.

Phone perhaps? Could even be some sort of reflection I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with Fujifilms flashes. Some point and shoots have an LED in them and they stay on for the entirety of the shutter being open rather then an actual flash. My phone does that as well :( Perhaps the light was reflecting off the leaves? I'm not sure. I cant see much in those photos, Plus i'm tired.
