Anyone have that video that is so metal the guy's guitar isn't even plugged in? He's playing in some abandoned house and syncing the music to the video of his guitar playing. I'm almost certain he never looks up.
So I have been breaking my high E and D string on my explorer lately so I might have stolen a little trick from someone.

Ever since I started top wrapping those strings I have yet to break one. A lot of people believe the lower string tension helps but I think it also has to do with the fact that it takes the strain off the ball end (which is where mine were breaking) and putting more the that tension on the sharp bend.
Thats pretty useful, I was jamming with a friend and broke my fourth string, I put a new one in and we kept playing.
Next day it broke again while I was playing at home.

Where was it breaking?

of myself
i've never tried an open tuning
I want to start playing guitar again, I have a Fender electro-acoustic guitar but the high E string has broken. Any recommendations for a new pack of strings? As cheap as possible really.
I was looking at these : http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/p/912187/earthwood-8020-bronze-2002-acoustic-strings-13-56-medium/
But I'm not too sure. Any Suggestions?

Earthwoods aren't too bad. D'Addario also do good stuff.

Forgot how fun playing Hendrix tunes were. My goal is to be able to sing and play Bold as Love adequately.

Acoustic guitar with a pickup.
Acoustic guitar with a pickup.
Then yeah. Do you want those strings or do you want a lighter set?

Honestly I think he should try and find out what the guitar came with so he won't have to do any truss rod adjustments.
