My amp is bork so I had some fun with TH2, so here's this: Been playing for just over seven months now, woo. i had to put some comfortably numb in there to invite people to listen. [editline]9th February 2014[/editline] christ how far did I bend that note at :09
ive gotten down playin guitar now but i suck at singing still so damn
one day when i am a made man i am gonna buy hundreds of every colour dunlop tortex picks and just mix them together in a big glass bowl in my living room
neat idea
I only have two picks, not man enough, I need new ones because after all this time they became rounded and I just keep sharpening them a bit. :v:
I have picks all over my house, if I need one I just search on a surface nearby or the floor.
I kid you not I just moved units in my apartment complex about a month ago and my landlord showed up with an envelope with 10 guitar picks in it that he found around the apartment. He said he found a few under the oven, one under the fridge and even one on top of the cabinets in the kitchen. I played guitar a lot while I was cooking so this makes sense. The rest were scattered around the house and what not.
makes me wonder what weird places they are in my house every pair of pants or jacket I own has at least one in a pocket
makes me wonder what weird places they are in my house every pair of pants or jacket I own has at least one in a pocket
I find picks all the time in my clothes or in the washer, I almost always carry at least one pick on me so you can imagine how often they get forgotten in pockets.
I carry fingers. Never go anywhere without a thumb. Only problem with my thumb is it is hard to sweep with.
My Dad recently gave me about ten picks from his house where I had scattered them everywhere as well. He never found half of them until he tore the carpeting out to replace them all and found three underneath them somehow.
i haven't moved recently, and i have lost ten of my pick bags from fender in this house.
I carry fingers. Never go anywhere without a thumb. [editline]11th February 2014[/editline] For me of course, though I play with high treble low mid and bass and high gain.
What a great idea. Wireless in an apartment, play wherever you are
Back when I had my little Marshall micro stack I would clip it to my belt and just jam while I was cooking and what not.
neat idea
I had to do the same thing, I have a couple tins full of picks but they aren't easily accessible and there is nothing like digging in a bowl full of picks.
my man
Word.
I am not a fan of nylon guitar picks.
I am not a fan of nylon guitar picks.
I wasn't either for a while but the .60 EVH picks in there are pretty nice for times I feel like wailing on my guitar. The pick is very flexible so I don't pull my strings sharp if I am picking hard.
I hated using a pick when I first started out so the first picks I ever bought were nylon .46mm which trained me to hit the strings like a motherfucker
tortex .73 mm does the job for me my guitar teacher is constantly telling me to get a smaller and thicker pick tho, but he's a technical melodeath player so eh
I used tortex purples almost exclusively for years but the yellow ones are growing on me now.
I like using those oversized bass picks because I have the biggest thumb ever
I used tortex purples almost exclusively for years but the yellow ones are growing on me now.
I like my .73 yellows because I can dig in like a neanderthal without breaking my strings. I would use tortex Jazz III XLs if they weren't so fucking TINY
Brain 1.14 are great. Can't fly out of your hand or anything and they come in a lil tin.
Trying to learn fingerstyle, since I play upside down I have to develop my own technique, attempting to use every finger. Pinky for bass, imagine that you normal people :v:
I don't even play fingerstyle the proper way, and I'm normal-handed...
oh my god it works, thumb and index for melody, pinky and ring for bass, middle for extra, woo! I can play the most basic thing quite slowly! [editline]13th February 2014[/editline] To clarify, I'm learning Chet Atkins style things here.
