i thot it was 3 notes in the place of 2 notes like instead of a bar with 2 half notes, it would be a bar with 3 triplet half notes
A 4/4 bar of quarter notes would be 4 groups of triplet 8th notes.
Is there a good piece of software that I can use to lay out a simple demo by myself? I kind of want to talk with this drummer across the road about doing some stuff together and I have a few ideas.

deafheaven's bass player used a Peavey T-40. I suddenly feel validated.
i thot it was 3 notes in the place of 2 notes like instead of a bar with 2 half notes, it would be a bar with 3 triplet half notes
Are you thinking of gallops where you play two sixteenth notes followed by an eighth for one beat?
Are you thinking of gallops where you play two sixteenth notes followed by an eighth for one beat?
no, im saying that 3 triplet notes are three notes that take up the space of 2
I think it's a J200 knockoff, emailed the dude and he just said it's a "non-brand name guitar" Tommy fuckin Emmanuel
Yamaha rbx? I have the same 5 string in silver
I'm pretty sure it is, i got it for 110$ in san fransisco two years ago, i also just bought that EP you put up, i gave you about as much as i could spare.
I was just at GC today. Got cheap cables and stands. I tried out some guitars. Found this awesome Fender Tele with a SD minibucker in the neck pos. Shit sounded amazing. Found this awesome Gibby SG with P90s too. I think it was an SG Classic. If we had the money, it would have came home with us. That thing has a baseball bat of a neck, but it plays amazingly. With a proper set-up, that thing would slay. So I like huge thick necks or thinner than a cracker. Anything else seems to be horrible.

[editline]18th February 2014[/editline] jk [editline]18th February 2014[/editline] I really appreciate it man, I will get jewel case cd's done soon!
no, im saying that 3 triplet notes are three notes that take up the space of 2
That's the basic idea.
This being the most impressive thing I can barely play, how's this for 7 and a half months of playing?
yes

[t]http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/shop_image/product/epiphone-ej-200ce-electro-acoustic-guitar-natural--large.jpg[/t] You could probably afford it for $60 cheaper.
anyone have or used a Peavey 6505+ 112 tube combo? i'm looking to buy one soon but I can't find any local retailers that stock it so I can demo it, so I thought some people here might have some comments about it
I've come to realise that I'm not the biggest fan of the Musicman bass tone. Since I got my Precision, I barely play the Kramer I have (EMG MMCS pickup and BTS pre). I can't seem to get as workable a tone as I can with my P. I'm tempted to get a P pickup and do a bit of routing to customise the Kramer and swap out the MM pickup but 1) I don't know how that would even sound and 2) I don't know if it'd be worth putting in the effort to do that.

Pretend it's the 1950s and that is the only kind of bass that exists.
Just play the freakin' P-bass man. Pretend it's the 1950s and that is the only kind of bass that exists.
I do :v: However I'm not one of those people that's like "ONLY P BASS. LEO GOT IT RIGHT FIRST TIME. EVEN THOUGH THERE'S 2 DISTINCT DIFFERENT KINDS OF P BASS." Fender basses are awesome, and they are really easy to work with, tonally and when maintaining them. But that's not to say that other basses are shit like so many people on Talkbass suggest (holy shit I've seen some bashing over there). I really am tempted to get one of those LTD Vintage 214 basses I posted a few pages back. Either that or maybe a Squier Matt Freeman. Speaking of Squier, I'm disappointed that they don't have more artist models this year. I mean they released the Eva Gardner sig at NAMM but fuck if I know who she is. I'd kill for a Squier Steve Harris. I know Geezer Butler used to play Fender but he went to Lakland. Maybe a Justin Street (Airbourne) or a Ramones sig? C.J. Ramone is still alive and kicking so surely he could sign off on one. [editline]20th February 2014[/editline] The main problem that I do have with the P bass I have now is that it's one of the Fiesta Red Classic Vibe ones, and the aesthetic doesn't really suit a metal band...
this is like really shittily recorded but http://vocaroo.com/i/s13QSBGBsNvy have I accidentally ripped anybody off here? it sounds a tad familiar, or is it just a common thing
Don't expect much in the way of clean tones, metal, metal, metal, every single type of distortion and metal. really good chugger, and great rough tone.
sounds perfect
sounds perfect
If you can, mix every tone you can, it's a best even with low distortion
Don't expect much in the way of clean tones, metal, metal, metal, every single type of distortion and metal. really good chugger, and great rough tone.
You could try to get it set up with EL34 power tubes, the new 6534+ does just that and the cleans sound great
woo just learned my first song in open c

There is a song that has a really similar strumming pattern and chord progression that I just can't name now.
