It reminds me a bit of wonderwall for some reason, but it's not that. There is a song that has a really similar strumming pattern and chord progression that I just can't name now.
I got a Where Is My Mind vibe from it. All mahogany acoustic guitar which gives a bassier or more low mid focused sound. I need the brightest strings out there to test if it will sound more to my likening! What do you guys recommend? Phosphor strings? I also try some stagg strings out today.
Today was a good day. Resoldered the ground wire to the spring cavity, cleaned it up properly, put the back plate on, tightened the screws and put nice new 11s on my strat!

Selling a 7 string in sweden is like dealing coke in a church
fukken snapped my A string on my strat today. it had the stock strings on it though. any recommendations? I was probably gonna go for d'addario since they're decent but pretty cheap.
Try Ernie Ball skinny top heavy bottom strings. I used to use them before going back to regular slinky because I bought 6 sets for a good price.
My seven string refuses to stay in tune and I don't know why. It's starting to get really irritating. Any ideas as to what could be the cause of the problem?

[editline]21st February 2014[/editline] On top of that I have had a set on my guitar for almost 7 months without breaking and I pound on my strings and bend like crazy.
D'addarios are pretty tough. I use the wimpy 9-42 set, and I hold the guitar by the whammy bar and they don't even stretch out of tune. I've played pretty aggressively and they don't break. I've put them in D standard, but they're way too light to have a pleasant tension.
Just bought this baby. Should arrive in a couple of days. It comes with a case as well.

He also had a les paul with some of those Dunlop 7's that Billy Gibbons uses and for me it was unplayable. I can see the application if you are a VERY soft handed player though.
My Strat came with 9-42 on it but I might go up to 10s. I only really play rhythm so I don't really feel the need to have properly bendable strings other than for messing about.
Fuck it, go SRV: 13s.
go 15-90 and tune down an octave, bending is chill easy this way :v:
how does a string pop when its tuned to drop a how fuck it obv my guitar's a piece of shit i need a new one
go 15-90 and tune down an octave, bending is chill easy this way :v:
but I have a bass [editline]22nd February 2014[/editline] 3 basses
but I have a bass [editline]22nd February 2014[/editline] 3 basses
So?
how does a string pop when its tuned to drop a how fuck it obv my guitar's a piece of shit i need a new one
If you were in a higher tuning before, the bridge could've bent or damaged the string, creating a weak point that could easily pop if moved around
So?
One of which is in drop B for playing Damageplan. Most of the guitar stuff I play is in standard or half step anyway so I don't need that high a gauge of string. I never got the opportunity to buy any today so I can still take suggestions. I know that the local store has Ernie Ball, D'Addario, DR, Elixir and Fender strings for electric and possibly a couple of others I can't remember. My focus is on rhythm. Usually I just stick to whatever gauge came as stock on the guitar so I don't have to adjust anything (I did this with my Pbass when I bough EB strings for it but I don't like them so when I replace them I'm going back to Fender strings).

Really tough and they last a while. Then again, I haven't used any other strings. I haven't had a need to try others
I have tried quite a few brands, my string choice before I went to D'Addario was GHS. I never liked EB that much even though they did sound good they just seemed to break faster than D'Addario. I tried the Elixer polyweb strings and broke one 1 month in which makes the whole coated system useless for me and when I tried a set of DR strings they sounded good but lasted less time than the EB strings. If I can't get D'addario or GHS I go for a set of SIT strings which have served me well in the past. If I had to choose any other string besides D'Addario it would be GHS first then SIT.

But then, my city is right by a swamp and they make the worst possible strings for exportation, so it must be just me.
I've been playing the same MIM Fender Fat Strat for 10 years now, and I've been wanting to get a companion for it for some time. Well, after landing a new job and saving up a bit I walked in to a shop yesterday and purchased my dream guitar. Here's my 2013 Gibson solid gold ES 335:
That's hot shit. How does it play?
That's hot shit. How does it play?
Excellent! It has a 60's slim-style neck, but it still feels thicker than the neck on my Fender. The action is nice and low and it feels like my fingers have more room to move around on the fretboard. I'm playing through a Marshall AVT50 amp and the sound is full, resonant, and just rings like a bell on the clean channel. All I can say is I can't stop playing it!

Got a guitar 2 months ago, I really love playing, even though I can't really play anything yet. Fender Squier Stratocaster doing me great.
