[QUOTE=Used Car Salesman;44097992]They really aren't. Honestly, I pick up my Floyd guitar and it's usually closer to perfect tuning than my others. Get the strings broken in and the nut secured and they stay in tune fine. And if it isn't, a few twists on the fine tuners will do it.
The only problem is, you need to pick one tuning and stick with it. If you change tuning you have to set the whole thing up again.[/QUOTE]
Ok cool. I suppose I usually play at standard tuning anyway, and if I did get a new one I could always use my current guitar for alternate tuning.
Though if I were to get a new one I may get a fixed bridge one anyway just because they are generally cheaper (I think?).
Got to play a '63 melody maker yesterday.

I don't normally really like Gibsons, but this one was pretty sweet, and in really clean condition too. The pickgaurd had cracked around one of the tone knobs though. They wanted $840 for it.

dangerously funky guitar
I discovered a new thing :v:

that's rad
I love double cuts and melody makers but I didn't know they made a double cut melody maker
only thing that would make it any better is a P90

I love watching Dave, have been since he did a neck reset on that old Martin. Good guy, got to chat with him a few times on google hangout and he is always pleasant to be around. Good stories to tell too.
[editline]2nd March 2014[/editline]
Always thought he was Canadian as well because he currently lives there but the SOB told us all the the last hangout that he is from Detroit.
Dave is my perfect bed-time entertainment :v:
Speaking of hangouts we should schedule a hangout sometime, I remember we did one a long time ago and it was interesting to chat.
no mics guitar DI only
What if you have microphonic pickups?
then you mail them to me
I don't have an interface too.
plug it into your microphone jack and deal with the lag
[editline]4th March 2014[/editline]
alternatively you can use your microphone and play into it but no talking.
music speaks for itself
I have no guitar leads to plug into my amp and it really sucks.
I'm finally getting somewhere with playing Windy and Warm :D

do you have a soldering iron? If you do, you can get the stuff online for cheap and make your own that's really darn good.
Might be time we repost all our shtuff, at least your guitars.

Gonna be ordering a Dimarzio super distortion for the bridge on my explorer soon, I might just leave to neck pickup alone. It sounds alright and I don't use it that much anyways.

I just got done uploading a bass cover of Circa Survive! It's such a fun song. I recently got a Sansamp Bass DI and it's been the best purchase ever. If you want a good SVT emulating pedal, man this is it. I'll be getting an Aerodyne Jazz bass in about a month too! I'll be sure to post pics.

This is my JA-90 Telecaster thinline, Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World's signature guitar. I've had it since about February last year, it still feels and plays like a dream. It sounds awesome through my ac30 Vox amp.

It's got rust on all the screws, and I fell down the stairs while holding it and dinged it a bit:

the bridge on the V is broken and I'm still waiting on the parts to put it back together
Can someone recommend some good foot pedals for the following effects. I was going to just buy a bunch of boss pedals but I don't want to spend so much money on them.
- Wah
- Phase
- Tremolo
- Delay

Never seen that V before. What model is it? Anything with an original Wizard? MIJ?

it's an '85 proline 1660 which was made in japan but I'm not sure what that means as far as the neck is concerned

that was a gift so I don't know a lot about it but the nameplate inside says AEG20E
How about a Boss ME-70? Any advice on this, I've played with a multi effects before but it was old and expensive, it sounded great but I've always been a fan of individual stomp boxes. Though a ME pedal isn't out of the question because I'm trying to cut back on cost.

My friend had one that he used to use before simplifying down to an SD-1, GE-7, NS-2 and Crybaby. Basically the ME70 can do anything you want it to. It always looked quite complex to me but I never learned to use it so it could have been quite easy to get a hang of.

From my experience multi-effects take something away from the tone, that I don't like.
Top one is my Fender Squier Bullet Strat and the bottom one is my Ibanez Iceman IC200.

Little bit of wear looks good on a tele, I can't say I miss all the chips on my Ibanez back when it was painted with poly. Looks much better with nitro, I really want to refinish my explorer with nitro so it wears as well.

The neck shape and stuff. A Wizard should be roughly 17mm thick at the first fret.
I'm going to buy a new guitar to "upgrade" myself. I already know which guitar to buy ( Fender Stratocaster) but I can't decide if I should get one with a humbucker or one with a single coil. I play mostly pop punk and punk rock and sometimes alternative rock. Should I get one with humbucker or not?
