I got scared when he started moving towards the mic like he was gonna sing
There's a lot of opportunity to be had in a 9 string. I'm not sure if I'd use it for metal (I never drop my 7 lower than Drop G). I'd rather try to make use of it for Jazz.

The local guitar store is having a sale on the weekend so I might buy a wah pedal.
My next wah is gonna be the dunlop Jerry Cantrell signature, been eyeing one for a while. I love the sweep it has.

new animals as leaders is pretty dope
so I guess I'm gonna be getting a new Seymour Duncan '59 pickup in about a week or two. Before I order it, does anyone know of any sites that have good deals on pickups?
Didn't Bulb produce it?
Didn't Bulb produce it?
I think Nolly did, or he did the mixing w/e. Bulb did some writing
yeah nolly produced it and for the first time they used real drums
Band jam was terrible, not a single person out of us 3 could really do anything well :v:
I haven't played that bad since month 4 :v:

I borrowed a 90s era Les Paul for a couple months once... In all honesty having a les paul is high on my list and when I get some money laying around I will most likely pick one up.
Ordering this lot in July/August;

Gonna be ordering this around the middle of May.

Been playing around with that bass at GC and it sounds pretty good for the money. I need a bass again.

My dad has a LPC from the 70's, if that counts. Fretless wonder, and fun times.

I've got an Epiphone LP but it's broken as shit and I can't be assed to get it fixed or do it myself.

I considered buying a Studio once for all of five seconds does that count
I bought a chinese semi hollow les paul with a cracked neck from gfs, does that count?
So am I going crazy or did Dunlop take a quality dive sometime last year?
Half a year ago I grabbed some Tortex sharps, and they felt fine but the ink slowly smudged all over my hand as I used them. It wasn't an immediate thing, but the ink wasn't really staying in place on the pick, it just sorta turned into an amorphous grey blob over a month of really light use. Other than that the picks felt fine, and I just rubbed the logos off with acetone before using them to keep the gunk off my hands when going through the rest.
Last week I ordered some Tortex Jazz III XLs. About an 45 minutes into some very mundane practice, they'd completely bled the logo off onto my fingers, like it was regular fucking ink instead of a pad deposition ink. They're also not tumbled as much/well as my old Tortex stuff. The material seems the same but it's more slippery and the surface isn't as matte as on my older picks. I can play bass with small old Tortex picks, but these slide around like crazy.
This week I grabbed a set of regular nylon III XLs, and they're gross as fuck. The nylon doesn't feel like or bend like any of the nylon picks I've bought from them before and I'm positive it's not the same blend. The material is that gross splotchy kind that doesn't bond uniformly when molded (think like disposable packaging material or really cheap floss/toothpick deals- all flaky and brittle) and even though they buffed it it feels reaaaally bad.
It's not that big a deal (I'm just going to sand them all and throw out a couple of the more malformed nylons) but it makes me think the next time I want more sharp picks I shouldn't buy them from Dunlop.
maybe they just had a bad run or something or something happened during shipping

I ordered a dozen .73 tortex picks not too long ago and they were business as usual. The logo wears off after a while but it doesn't make a mess it just fades away, pick material is like usual too.
I have been addicted to Planet Waves picks recently, been going back to celluloid material which usually breaks within hours for me but these are lasting. I am still using the first pick I got from them.

I think your fingers might be sweaty.
The more amps I play through the more I appreciate the sound Vox amps.

Weird to get three QC fuckups in a row, but I guess I've seen worse from more important shit before.

I bought a bulk set of a few picks I really like years ago. When I pull an unused one out and it doesn't get all gross, I know it isn't my hands. Unless my sweat is magic.
This is really happening

So I looked around and heard that Fender was redesigning their road worn models to be a little bit more realistic. They started releasing the new version late last year and I wasn't able to find any pictures of the new model but a guy on a forum I visit bought one and posted some pictures. I am so glad I waited.
You can see them on here.

Very glad they got rid of the fretboard wear, it looked really overdone. Now it's just a nice flat finish, love the paint checking on the headstock.
