this is exactly why i bought my epi les paul buzzsaw zakk wylde sig, I didnt really knew who zakk wylde was and didnt liked him but I tried the guitar and it was just fucking great, and looked awesome (to my taste) so I bought one over ebay like 8 months later, still my main guitar after 4 years

I completely agree with this. I got one of those guitar+amp start packs for Christmas, and it piqued my interest and got me into guitar. But I didn't take it seriously or properly want to play and actively get better until I got my PRS SE a year or so later.
Having a nice guitar makes it that much easier and more enjoyable.

It's easy to make something on a shitty speaker sound even worse if it doesn't sound bad enough to begin with. Might even be possible to remove the shitty mic effect using a convolver and an inverted impulse if you've got something with a high-quality speaker that can play back a sixteen second sine sweep.

The new road worns look much better than the old ones, also fuck yeah I am so glad to see more online music stores that display pictures of the actual guitar you are gonna get.
My bass has a problem with the nut, the second string randomly pops out of it and then resettles again if I hit it aggressively. It looks like part of it flaked off on the side it comes out on. How hard is it to replace one of these? It's just a Squier and cost me like $200 (I may have gotten it as a complementary thing buying monitors, I don't really remember) so if it's $50 or more and a lot of effort I might just leave it and trash the thing down the line.
Also, when people are talking about buying no-name chinese instruments, what websites are normally selling these? I'm only used to seeing them on Alibaba.
