The new road worns look much better than the old ones, also fuck yeah I am so glad to see more online music stores that display pictures of the actual guitar you are gonna get.
6105 frets, niqquaaaa!
My bass has a problem with the nut, the second string randomly pops out of it and then resettles again if I hit it aggressively. It looks like part of it flaked off on the side it comes out on. How hard is it to replace one of these? It's just a Squier and cost me like $200 (I may have gotten it as a complementary thing buying monitors, I don't really remember) so if it's $50 or more and a lot of effort I might just leave it and trash the thing down the line.
Also, when people are talking about buying no-name chinese instruments, what websites are normally selling these? I'm only used to seeing them on Alibaba.
Not hard at all, find out the nut width, string spacing, and radius, then go on stewmac and buy a nut that is similar.

It's not hard at all the fit a preshaped nut, might take a little sanding but that is about it.
Here's the guitar I ended up getting. 1990s Mexican made Left Handed Fender Stratocaster.

My local guitar shop guy told the only thing wrong was the front pickup was not working (or bad switch) and the neck was slightly warped, but he fixed the latter. Otherwise he said it was in great condition. Paid $200.
$1200 for the latest monstrosity I've built on warmoth
one of these days I'll actually click add to cart
[editline]6th April 2014[/editline]
then another ~$280 for electronics and tuners

I'm an amp stealer and a total douchebag.
What do you think a semi-hollow les paul would make me?

A semi-hollow Brother from Another Mother.
What is the last guitar on the list?
Saint Stephen grade.
Uhhh... It's an Epiphone/Gibson something. I don't remember the exact model, though.
It looks like something Nigel Tufnel would use.
It's one of the custom built guitars belonging to the dude in the Grateful Dead.
Can't say I'm a huge fan, it's so gaudy.

Something along those lines.
Not too bad.
Looks like it should be tuned to A standard
There's a 1980 Aria Pro II SB-600 for sale locally, for £250. I can't afford it, nor can I justify it, but I managed to convince the singer of my band to buy it. So naturally, I'm going to get him to bring it to practice as soon as he gets it and I'm gonna play the fuck out of it. I'm a big Cliff Burton fan, and whilst the SB-600 isn't the bass he actually played, it's pretty damn close, and the closest I'll probably ever get to playing the models he did.

Glad i'm not the only one with the Joe Satriani pinky, I get criticized all the time because my pinky sticks out like that and the funny thing is I use my pinky like crazy.
I do the same thing, which is also hilarious to freak people out with because when I straighten all of my fingers on my left hand, my first knuckle really hyper extends and everyone thinks it's broken.

I got my new guitar nut, just need to buy strings, size and shape looks like a perfect drop-in.
What should I use for glue?
Tunings. GO.

A dot of super glue on each end should be enough. That'd hold it when there's no string tension over it.
Tunings. GO.
Standard, Half Step, Drop D, Drop C#, Drop B, B standard. That's what I've used recently.
Tunings. GO.
Uhhh, Standard, E Flat, E Flat Drop D Flat, and Drop D?
Only tunings I really use. And the E Flat is because my second guitar is setup for it.
