I have a question. I want to buy something that can produce good tape delay effects, similar to the Binson Echorec. Is this a good pedal? http://www.catalinbread.com/echorec-features Is there anything else out there? Somebody was trying to convince me to get a multi effects, but tape delay is really the only effect I want. I do want to justify spending $250 dollars though..
I have an old Akai Headrush that does some pretty cool shit. It has four outputs that it can cycle through if you have four amps if you wanna get the surround sound effect. It also doubles as a looper pedal. As for how "good" the tape delay is, that is entirely subjective but I payed like next to nothing for mine so I am not fussy. I have no idea how much the new ones cost.
Darkslicer, your music is amazing.
I've been thinking of getting rid of the lowest string on my RGA8, moving everything down and putting a High A Flat or High A on it instead. Anyone ever done this?
Darkslicer, your music is amazing.
Oh thank you man, that cheered me up alot now ♥ How come you say this now? What happened, what did you hear?
If you have any audio programs make sure they aren't taking exclusive control over the input for your guitar, infact go to recording devices and make sure that the input for your guitar is set to allow exclusive control taken. Just to double check, is the error a popup when the games starting or the one in the menus and such that is rendered over everything else?
I got game audio working. Woo. However it's still not picking up the guitar. If I could find an adapter so I could plug it straight in it'd probably work with the nocable patch, but I'm using a mixer board through which it's going in. I plugged my headphones into the computer and messed around with the settings for about an hour to get the audio to work. edit: found way to plug the board in with an input jack instead of an USB, experiment 3 go.
Oh thank you man, that cheered me up alot now ♥ How come you say this now? I showed it to my friends too, and they love it.

I can't wait to put out my next albums I am working on now!
I hate it when people break guitars on stage, Pat Smear why are you breaking guitar.
I hate it when people break guitars on stage, Pat Smear why are you breaking guitar.
Saw Paul Stanley break one of his guitars at Sweden Rock 2013. I wasn't amused, but apparently he breaks one at every show. My heart broke then and there, poor guitars
Hendrix did it the best. however, poor strats D:
Why not do it like limp bizkits bass dude did? He simply gave his bass (fully modified with leds and all that jazz/rock) to a random fan after a show. Oh wait rockstars need to break shit to seem cool... I don't want to understand the breaking instruments thing. Imagine a big tv producer presenting all his new sweet tvs at an electronic event, the crowd being all "woaa *takes picture*" and then the company spokesman just takes a baseball bat to one of his 50inch expensive tv's and is like "HUEHUE HELL YEA *smashdafuk*". That's what the whole destroying guitar thing is like to me :v:
I feel like I can't learn anything on my guitar without a teacher. I'm fairly new, definitely not good enough to just start playing. Any suggestions on a song I could take one? Would like to try a riff, maybe a John Mayer riff?
Try to get Layla down, if you're very new. It's a good place to start from with slightly more complex songs. That's where I started with lead.
note: had a teacher for two months. lessons ended. trying to get new teacher.
Try to get Layla down, if you're very new. It's a good place to start from with slightly more complex songs. One of the first songs I learned on electric. Very good practice on your beginner lead chops and barre chords. Even without the solo.
Layla? also I can almost play R U Mine? by Arctic Monkeys. There are a few hard parts I can't do yet in that song, but most of it I can.
Ah, thought you were even newer. Took me a while to learn this when I was new to guitar, glad I kept at it. (also check Doyle Bramhall II on second guitar, I play like him, upside down.)
Guitar breaking is only cool when dillinger escape plan does it
seems a little too fast for me, I could try. Do you have any tabs or a tutorial for it? someone suggested I could play this lick here as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyyrR0O-mSc&list=PLqNE6hngq5orU_7WlZxOy8dHM8xSlaMJy&index=20 Seems like a challenge, but I might be able to pull it off. Still having issues with fast movements on the guitar, hard to be accurate, but it's getting better and better.

Sure it's nice to learn a riff here and there .Sometimes it's really good to do just that, but when you learn a whole song you learn so much more. The White Stripes is a great band to start with

Check out JustinGuitar or Marty Schwartz for really good tutorials. They both have layla and many others. Layla took me a good half a month because I wasn't used to the faster movements.
I'll try Layla! My guitar teacher praised me for being a fast learner though, I had always learned my homework really well, and it wasnt just something he had to say, I live in Denmark so tax = free guitar lessons. Also I used Marty Schwartz a lot, tried to learn Plug In Baby by Muse, but it was simply too fast. Side note: Hurt my hand in a game of basketball so I can't play guitar for at least 2 days.
This will be the last I got but make the sure the input is set to 1 Channel, 16 bit input 44000 Hz. Also double check that you modified Rocksmith.ini correctly.
Making progress, retrofitted a cable for my guitar so I don't have to interface through the mixer board, only problem now is that it won't let me set it to 1 channel :v: [editline]9th April 2014[/editline] now it's just crashing on startup this is literally the biggest piece of shit software I have even encountered. e: fixed that, back to problem 1.
related: 12:40ish
no :( oh noooo :(
dillinger doesn't actually break any of their own guitars though and that thing was already destroyed to be a part of that dumbass set [editline]9th April 2014[/editline] also I don't get the negativity about breaking gear anyway it's not like people are out there smashing original '59 LPs

I wanna learn this on my electric guitar: Seems hard, but I could try. Strumming pattern is there, that is really important for me
So I got my soundcard and I decided to record something quick and simple: https://soundcloud.com/richard-m-karlsson/paranoia
Sounds like a soundtrack from some movie, pretty cool. Also, great audio quality.
