The 3 is pretty much totally covered, when the entire 13 could have been painted behind the tailpiece.

Ibanez RG321MH for 99 eur, good deal? Seems like it.
Yeah fuck the Thunderbird I'm probably just gonna get a Toby Standard IV, I can get a full kit with amp (my current one might be broken) for less than the TBird.
Gonna be joining the Audio Engineering program they offer here at the college, starts in fall and goes on for two years for an associate degree. Got to take a tour of the studio they have on campus today, it's a very nice space to work. Just the right amount of things to play with without getting into too much trouble. So who is being recorded? people in a music class? student bands? bandbands?
So who is being recorded? people in a music class? student bands? bandbands?
As far as I know they will record anyone who is willing to give up their time, they use it as an opportunity to let students in the program work with musicians. Most of the students in the program are musicians so if they can't find a band to record they will just group a quick pair together so the rest of the class can have a chance to experiment. But it is usually students in the other music programs who show up as well as some local bands comprised of students who attend the college.
Anyone know any good songs to learn on bass, mainly metal?
God I feel unconfident playing guitar at home through the amp. I always practice through a virtual amp and through headphones. I'm totally fine at band practice but that's in a basement. I don't want neighbours to hear me, but I don't want to use headphones with my shitty amp because that makes it worse.
Anyone know any good songs to learn on bass, mainly metal?
Silhouette by Thrice is pretty straight forward and fun
Anyone know any good songs to learn on bass, mainly metal?
cryptopsy - phobophile has a pretty sick bass line and a lot of acid bath songs have great bass (a few that come to mind are "scream of the butterfly", "jezebel", "the blue", "dr seuss is dead" and "finger paintings of the insane") have really sick bass lines.

Try out Dragonskin acoustic strings if you haven't
Went to best buy to get strings (tfw no GC in town) and they had 3 packs total. One set of elixir 46s, two sets of ernie ball 42s, eeeeewwwwww

Like a mini GC inside the store. Almost like this. I almost ended up in that section but I ended up working next door in PC sales.

Am I Evil? is a good one. Any Iron Maiden is good but Steve's basslines can be pretty hard.
I just bought Jackson king v white just like the video says, I mean its ridiculously good. I still can't belive that this is 320€ (before you say anything about price, taxes dude, taxes...) <span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Tahoma, Helvetica, Arial, Verdana;">
that's the JS23 one right? i could want it but i'm sick of bolt-ons
What's wrong with bolt ons? As long as the neck pocket is good, it doesn't make a difference compared to a set neck or neck thru really.
Yeah that's it. Bolt on stuff bother me too but bought this mostly because of its 24 fret and it is extremely easy to play, neck is thin and not polished. I also own Gibson Explorer 76, if I compare to that, js23 has brighter tone and very light weight and Explorer is heavy as shit and has warmer tone. It starts to hurt my shoulder after about 1 hour of playing.
What's wrong with bolt ons? As long as the neck pocket is good, it doesn't make a difference compared to a set neck or neck thru really.
It's not so much the tone rather than the accessibility from where I see it. As much as I love my telecaster the bolt on neck makes playing solos high up on the fretboard really tedious.
Learned the main solo for Sultans of Swing, now for the following verse(s) and the twiddly solo!
alright here we go [t]http://i.imgur.com/seBaDsD.jpg[/t]
alright here we go [t]http://i.imgur.com/seBaDsD.jpg[/t]
Imagine playing a gig and throwing one of those out in the crowd to someone who has no idea what it is...
It's not so much the tone rather than the accessibility from where I see it. As much as I love my telecaster the bolt on neck makes playing solos high up on the fretboard really tedious.
This is true, but it can still be remedied by a good body shape and some good carving around the neck. For the most part though, I agree, high fret access isn't that great with bolt on necks. Just watched Amadeus in my Business of Music class. I haven't seen that movie since I was a kid, it's an interesting movie even if you aren't a big fan of Opera or any classical music. Kind of funny too at some parts.
Ibanez' cut away square heel is the most amazing square heel bolt on ever. It has so much better access and it doesn't feel weak at all. Also, AANJ. Nuff said.
Can someone help me find the tabs for this? I found the riff itself, even though it doesnt say how far to slide up and down. It doesnt have those barre chords though, unless I'm blind Tabs I found: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/a/arctic_monkeys/knee_socks_tab.htm [editline]15th April 2014[/editline] ok nevermind i dont even understand the tab. frustrated
When you really can't find the tabs I suggest just looking at the person playing.
