try a p90 or a danelectro lipstick or something
there are so many single coil pickups that sound great in the neck position
my current guitar has p90's in it, the neck one sounds so muddy, but the bridge one is sweet.
Made my absolute dream guitar with the halo custom shop guitar designer, it's 1499$ and I consider to get this done in the future:

Those cutaways look too weird to me, but hey. It's hot and black
I picked up a '95 jag-stang in fiesta red a few days ago. I would have rather had sonic blue, and the guitar was a little beat up, but hey. I'd wanted one for a really long time and for $468 it was a steal and the guy even threw in a hard shell case.

I like it a lot, a whole l lot. It has the best-feeling neck of any electric I've ever used and it's based from Kurt's favorite mustang neck, but the mass produced version of the jag-stang that Fender shipped out was based on prototypes they were working on around the time of Kurt Cobain's death and the guitar body lacks any of those nice forearm or tummy contours that the mustang or jaguar have and the pickups are kind of bad.

So an idea I've been tossing around in my head is to take the electronics and neck from the j-s and put them onto an alder warmoth body with a seymour duncan so that I can maybe get a bit closer to what KC had ultimately intended instead of the uncontoured prototype, but I still can't decide on a color. I'm thinking of surf green or competition orange at the moment, but I don't have the cash for the body at the moment so I'll have a while to think on it anyway.

I didn't end up getting that head and cab.
Is a 1986 all original Fender the twin reverb w/ red knobs and foot pedal a good deal for $650AU?
Pic of it:

^ that body looks like a poorly trimmed shrub
I like the pickup/s
I'm going to replace the pickups in my RGA8 with Ionizer 8s.

Very good choice, when I played the tosin abasi sig with the ionizers in there last year it was phenomenal. Never liked the sound feel of an pickup as much as that.
My dad doesn't care for anything beyond a seven-he thinks he isn't good enough -but the TAM10 caught his eye. He likes that it has the proper pickup config for an Ibby, and the colors, ect.
I gave the Halo builder another shot. That and a HSC for $1974.00. Not bad.

there's a very snuggly hidden single-coil underneath the two humbuckers

$1500 isn't bad I guess but I could probably do it cheaper elsewhere

most of these body shapes are fucking terrible
i'm still waiting on the online guitar builder that lets you flip the lower horn of a les paul body to make it droopy
jagstang stuff
How does it sound? I've heard horrible things about the jagstang, and Kurt wasn't a big fan of it either seeing as fender fucked his entire idea up.
I don't like Halos headstocks. They're all pretty bad
How does it sound? I've heard horrible things about the jagstang, and Kurt wasn't a big fan of it either seeing as fender fucked his entire idea up.
The single neck pick up is pretty great and actually puts out more sound than the humbucker, which is probably the worst humbucker in history, but overall the guitar sounds objectively "good" to me and I've been able to get some versatile tones out of it.
I think Fender may have had quality control issues with the guitar at the factory or something because you have people who have either really good sounding jagstangs or really band sounding ones. But yeah, the humbucker on mine really sucks and I want to replace it asap.
What are you thinking of for replacements then?

Maybe a Duncan SH-4 JB or a Dimarzio Evolution DP158/159. I'm also thinking of changing the bridge to a tune-o-matic.
heres the guitar designer http://www.haloguitars.com/store/custom-guitars.html
Well mine was pretty much just this guitar:
[t]http://images.epiphone.com.s3.amazonaws.com/Products/Archtop/Tom-Delonge-ES-333/Gallery/BR_Splash.jpg[/t]
price was almost the same too.
I've been looking to get a Seagull Acoustic Electric. But what about Godin guitars? I know they are the same brand, but are they nicer? I own a regular Seagull Rustic.

I've never played a JB, but right across the room are three guitars with Evos. They're really tight and are designed to cut. If that's what you want, then go for it.

Hello, i wanted to ask some questnion(s).
I have a Dean Vendetta v2 guitar (yeah i know it's a budget guitar but oh well) that i bought in used state.
I think the neck shape is too flat/curved upwards, because on lower strings height they do buss a fuckin' lot i don't think the frets are damaged, because i've shown them to my friends and he says they are in a good condition.
Has anyone had a guitar like that before? I wonder what can i use to adjust the truss rod, because it has a shitty access (on the headstock, but it's deeper inside), i need a curved key or something but before that i need to know the right size.
I'm so simple when it comes to guitars, no fancy inlays, no fancy tops or special paint jobs. Just a hunk of wood with some electronics in it and I'm good:

Total came up to $1379. Would actually consider it if shipping, tax and toll wouldn't tripple the price of the damned guitar.
$1,234.00

i'd gig it
