A Super 2 is a variant of the Super Distortion so yeah, makes a lot of sense.
I did a droney guitar part for a song I did, so I decided to upload just the guitar track, for fun.

The quality isn't the best, but it works for it was made for.
I need recommendations for a digital thing. Revalver's finally stopped sucking and their Diezel simulation is okay, but the stock cabinet is terrible. I have cabinet impulse responses for a wide variety of shit, but no Diezels. What's a good substitute?
So far I've tried Marshall 1960s and ENGL Pros and they sound okay, but I think something else might do better. I also heard Bogners might work but when I tried it they didn't sound so hot.
A Super 2 is a variant of the Super Distortion so yeah, makes a lot of sense.
what's the difference? is S2 brighter sounding?

Pretty much, the Super 2 is more of a neck pickup in my opinion.
oh wow when I first started playing the guitar I tried my luck at understanding the intro riff to Neon by John Mayer and I was clueless so I just left it at that. 4 months of just random playing and now I can play the intro riff first time picking it up since last I tried. It's not at full speed yet, but I'm getting there.

I remember seeing threads a long time ago when I bought the pickup that people have done it but a lot found it to be way to bright of a bridge pickup. If you want a pickup that will cut through almost any mix then go for it but I like a little bit of chunk in my sound.

If anyone feels like listening to something I recorded last weekend, here you go.
Recorded it in Audacity because I was still unsure if Reason would work with me this time (turns out it would, but no matter).
I know I fall of the beat in the main guitar part, my only excuse is that I recorded this on a whim.
I'm looking to record a full song out of the general idea behind this one, so I will really work on fleshing it out in the coming week(s).
Had the task of shielding my strat today, I usually sit right next to my computer while I play and the buzz was getting to me a little bit.
So for anyone who might be wondering this is what the inside of a Road worn strat looks like.

The electronics, very nicely wired but I threw a couple zip ties on there to tidy up some wires.

And the end result, I was going to just shield the pickup coils but I wanted to try my hand at doing the cavities instead and it worked out pretty good. The guitar isn't dead quiet but it's a hell of a lot better.

I hate it too but it is the only remaining piece of my childhood drumset.
I can play pinch harmonics with only my thumb or just without a pick now :D

This guy said PG sucks and that he (the fanboy) is better than Vai and Satch. He also called me ignorant and a moron. I said that he should play Scarified then, if he's so good.
shit man it's not cool to make fun of retarded people like that

That song is the shit. It sounds awesome on my new aerodyne jazz bass. In my video, I can hear that my bass needs some intonation adjustments. You play bass really good! What was your setup when recording? I am digging the tone you had. And yeah, I am a pick player too. Used to get a lotta shit for it.
speaking of bass tones

Why the hell do people care so much about that shit anyway?
Also, getting a trial bass lesson this afternoon, probably gonna sign up for lessons straight away and get a set.

because basses originally were only played with fingers. Nowadays people seem to think you aren't as good if you are a pick player. I am usually both, though I prefer pick because I like the crispy sound.

So basically people are making a fuss over trivial irrelevant bullshit. What a surprise.

it's like people getting mad over not playing your guitar with only your fingers

I have:
Heavily modified 60's Jazz bass (what you see in the video)
1993 Aerodyne Jazz Bass
Unknown Company "SG" style guitar (it sounds just like one)
Fender Telecaster
Tama/CB Drums mixed drumset
First Act bass from the stone age
As for an amp, I have an Ampeg SVT 410 HLF cab and a Ampeg PF-500 Head.
I use a Sansamp Bass DI Deluxe and a Line 6 DL4. Getting vintage Proco Rat soon!

Thanks man, I was using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 into Guitar Rig 5. I don't even have a bass amp yet.
