Yeah, I have a similar problem with my wah and distortion. If I play guitar straight to dist. pedal to the wah, to my amp; I get massive noise when I activate the wah. If I reverse the pedals, I lose the wah's gain and volume additions and get a really, really faint affect. I've yet to figure out how to sort the two to work properly with one-another.
I really want to get a set of the new Steve Harris SPB-4 P bass pickups. When I use my P I go for a really mid heavy sound as it is so they'd surely help with that. Also, my band won the battle of the bands here last night. Shit was cash.
I read in an earlier version of this thread you shouldn't use lemon oil for the fretboard, but I can't remember what it was concluded that you should use. Does anyone remember?
I personally don't use anything on my fretboards. I just brush them off every so often with a dry rag.
linseed oil is a good one. lasts forever on the fretboard, you maybe need to apply it about twice a year, if that.
What type of oil you should use, and whether you should even use any at all, depends on the material your fretboard is made of. For example, I have a torrified maple board (unfinished) on my SG, so since the wood is fossilized, it already has a nice dark color and moisture doesn't really get in. Putting any kind of oil on my board just makes it darker and doesn't really add any benefit other than if you like the darker look. Also being made of maple, the grain structure is really tight and oils don't easily get in anyway, so for cleaning I just scrub all the gunk off of it and it's fine.

I have used lemon oil on my rosewood fretboards for years now, I mainly use it to darken the fretboard a little when it gets all dried out.
Whenever my fretboard gets that nasty white stains in the grain of the wood i polish it with 3000 grit sandpaper and then mineral oil.
Suggest me a good uni-vibe pedal. Not too expensive.

I looked at my strat today after procrastinating about bringing it in. I didn't take it out of the case since last week when I played it at band practice. The strings were kind of mellow and I didn't know why because they were brand new strings. Well I guess I bled on the strings at band practice, it's on the strings and pickguard. That's some hard playing for ya

I also want to let everyone know, every time I pick up my guitar and just noodle away, it reminds me why I chose this instrument over the other ones I could've played. Pic inbound.....

bleedin? havent bled on a guitar either yet
Apparently Zakk has thin blood. But it does look super hardcore. I've yet to bleed on a bass but I've cleaned blood off of a few guitars. I wear gloves when I have to do that.
You know I am just remembered that there is a guy that comes into this thread who is very squeamish. Poor guy :downs:

Does coughing blood onto a guitar count as bleeding on it?
does coughing blood count as bleeding
what is there to cut yourself on with a guitar? some older ones has some sharp edges but... [editline]1st April 2013[/editline] if you cut yourself on a string you're doing something wrong
what is there to cut yourself on with a guitar? some older ones has some sharp edges but...
My reason is my pick being sanded down by my strings. It got so small that my finger started to constantly graze my strings and it resulted in bleeding.

lol you guys suck at guitar ive played like the most horrendous shit for hours and i never bled that much, even when i sanded down my pick from playing
the only time a guitar has drawn blood from me was one time when I was changing strings I pulled the g string off the peg and it stuck my finger
